I cried on the way home. I couldn't even drive properly. At one point I had to park the car and lean my head on the steering wheel, sobbing quietly for a while. I didn't know why I was sad. I didn't even understand why I was crying. I just knew I was very sad, maybe heartbroken. Eventually, the sobs stopped and when I checked my eyes, it was red. It took me a while to get my emotions under control, and that's when I drove home. When I got home, I was completely exhausted. I cleaned my tears and tried all evidence that I had been crying before walking into the house.
