Eleven minutes after, they stopped in front of a lake. “A lake?” Greg stopped the motorbike’s engine and helped Harper jump off the vehicle. She looked around. Why is there a lake? Where’s the forest? Is there some special sort of sorcery that would change the lake into a forest or something? “Yeah, a lake.” “The camp’s across that?” Greg didn’t answer her. Instead, he picked up a call from his phone and moved a few paces away. Harper started to felt alarmed. She’s certain the person on the other line was either Brayden or Alora. She gazed at Jeff and shrugged. “Well then where is she?” That question remained unanswered as we sat down to munch on delicious sandwiches and cakes. The name Black lake was apt for the lake. The reflection of trees on the water’s shiny surface and the dead leaves that collected at the bottom of the water gave it a characteristic black color. Fishes splashed in the water that ran downstream in rapid currents, there was a wooden sign that read: NO LITTERING at one corner. A feet distance away from us was what appeared to get the remnant of a fire, there was a rusted fish hook among the debris.

We needed to know what it looked like on the other side so we could get there but without knowing we had no way in. Before we reacted to do anything, the roof on the far end of the cave opened up.
