He heard his father resorted with frustration in his voice. “Dear, you shouldn’t be here. Go back to your room.” His mother hurriedly whispered when she noticed him listening to their conversation. “Wait, did you just say men in black?” Hyde resorted when he came back to his senses. His companion didn’t speak but answered him with a mere nod. “Oh, and one more thing, she also said that one of them has some kind of black bird tattoo on the neck.” Hyde was stunned when he heard about the tattoo. He’s certain, that the deceased man was one of them—or just a scapegoat.

She turned back to the castle, looked around the cliff — she had no one to wait for help from. The cliff was skirted by a path washed by waves and led to a stone bowl with a hot spring. The Black Cliff was located next to the underwater volcano, but it was so deep under water that its warmth reached only the bowl, heating water inside it. The sea itself remained cold, resentfully hitting a rocky prominence fencing off the bowl. There was a narrow strip of land stretching along the cliff and leading to the spring. At high tide, the strip was flooded, blocking the way to the hot "bath".

Richard dipped his gaze as the large moths dipped, following their silhouettes as they plumed out and then upward, up, and into the snowy night sky. Black water. Nothing could survive it. All that suffocating dirt and chunks of rubble. Crashing down like that. Nothing. The silt would get into their clothing, Richard knew, weigh them down, drag them under to where black rushing torrents would sweep them downriver, possibly for miles. No one could survive. Not in this cold, in these rapid-moving waters. “Glee . . . shit.”

He said, making Michael get off the couch and follow Ernest. "What happened?" He asked. Ernest closed and locked his door. "Dude, I almost died, literally." Michael's eyes widened. "What? How?" He asked. "I slipped on Deadmans bridge and fell into the water.' "Holy shit, well, how'd you get out?" He asked knowing Ernest couldn't swim. "A girl jumped into the water and helped me. A Black girl." Ernest added, making Michael stare at him in confusion. "Liar, Black people don't like getting their hair wet." Ernest glared at him.

On the cliffs, dawn began to break. And in the harbor below, the people of Black Hollow would wake to calm waters— Never knowing how close the dark had come. But deep beneath the lighthouse, in the chamber of spirals and stone— Mara felt the ocean watching her back. Chapter 5: The Second Pulse Dawn painted the sea gold. From the harbor, Black Hollow looked peaceful—fishing boats rocking gently, gulls wheeling overhead, sunlight catching on windows still wet from the storm. The lighthouse beam still burned.

Kael’s jaw tightened. Harry chuckled low, stepping closer to me. “Good, tell them, own it. You are not their doll to control. You are fire, and fire cannot be caged.” Headmistress Morwen slammed her staff against the floor, magic crackling in the air. “Enough!” she roared. “Aria Blackwell, you are hereby—” “Try it,” Harry cut in, his tone soft but deadly. The air in the hall froze. Even Headmistress Morwen stood still,her eyes narrowed at him.

I could see a huge house, nearly a mansion, up ahead, and it seemed that we were going that way. To my right I could see booms of fire and lightning, hooded figures, and wolves. Dust and smoke and so much carnage. Bodies lying on the field, not moving. The movement of Jake’s continued run gave me something else to concentrate on, and I looked forward again. We pass the building and are nearing a battlefield. Something straight out of the final few Harry Potter films. Scorched earth. Blood. Weapons. Fur. A limb.

Dora stirred within her. “We shouldn’t be alone, Lily.” “We’ve always been alone,” Lily whispered back. “We just didn’t know it.” The moon broke through the clouds as she reached a clearing. Before her lay a shimmering lake...... Silver Springs. It was eerily still. Lily stepped to the water’s edge, her breath catching. The surface reflected not just her image but a version of her cloaked in silver, a crown of thorns upon her head, and a crescent moon burned into her forehead.

Mhir muttered and looked at Kulv who was just silent. “Kulv?” Laggas called as he walked towards Kulv. “What the hell is going on with you?” he asked with a frown on his face. “’Dream Lake’?” Skye muttered after he heard what Hierro whispered to him. “’Dream Lake’? What is that?” Mahi asked. “It is a lake underneath the Mirror Lake.” Loheiruchel spoke. “There is another lake beneath this one?” Laggas was surprised as he looked at the Mirror Lake.

She quickly placed her hand in Lucas' hand. Immediately, Lucas activated his Hundred Heavenly Steps and disappeared, leaving behind people of the Heartless Mountain who all looked stunned. ...
