Mage of Wolves
I stopped in my tracks, glaring at him, but Ben tugged on my hand.
“No magic at school, Harlow,” Ben reminded me.
I turned and met his eyes. “We aren’t at school yet,” I reminded him.
Ben shook his head at me. “Close enough.”
Not for me, it wasn’t. I turned back toward Ben’s truck and closed my eyes, placing a spell over it so that anyone who tried to harm it would be met with a shock strong enough to make them think twice. Not strong enough to kill them or anything, but enough to knock them on their backside. Satisfied that the truck would be fine, I turned around and continued on my way, praying I wouldn’t have any classes with Brice Parker, or any of the Parkers for that matter.
