I shielded my eyes on instinct and when I opened them the creature was gone …the book pages flipped once more just as it closed itself shut. The chimera's tail disappeared right with it as well as all traces of it…the iceberg that was in its heart was now a crispy clean white with no drop of blood on it and my sword now laid on the ground clean of any evidence of the chimera.
