James said slowly. "Are you supporting them?" Peter Okeke asked. "No I am not." "You must know that burning a human is setting them on fire and fire is not friendly when it comes in contact with a human skin." James took the book, flipped through the pages then he gave the book to Paul Okeke. "Read that story." Paul Okeke collected the book from James hands. The title was written in bold letters like the previous story he read. It was titled: A GRUESOME DEATH. He swallowed and started reading loudly.

I throw a small wave over my shoulder. "See you later, girls!" Harv calls back and continues the laborious job of laying out his fresh produce for the day. Every crate rattles down as it connects with concrete. We enter the bookshop. Technically, it is Arianna’s bookshop, I simply help out for spare change (and also so I could use the computer.)

“Thanks for meeting us, Greg,” I shake the hand of Crystal Lake’s lead guard. He’s an intimidating guy with light blue eyes and a buzz cut. His long sleeve shirt is an attempt to look professional, but he can’t hide the tattoos on his oversized hands and thick neck. “Anytime, Marshall. The human library is an odd choice, but I get it. Neutral ground, like you were saying.” He shrugs and looks around. Behind him, a mother is ushering her child, who is pointing at Greg, into the library. “I’m glad to hear you’re okay.”

"Tell me," "How long are your boyfriends going to cover up the fact that you are human?" He asked me, making close my eyes, a tear rolling down my cheek. "Please don't..." I whispered to him. "Please don't bite me." Alexander smiled against my neck, "why not? Humans are my favorite snack, and it's not often that one as beautiful as you just follows me inside my library."

And then she left. I let out a heavy sigh as if I had just escaped from something dangerous. Alone at last, I wandered between the towering shelves, running my fingers along the spines of books that contained centuries of werewolf history and law. As I got to the back of the library, a particular book with a golden cover caught my attention. I read the title which says; The Evolution of Pack Hierarchies in the United States of America. Hmm, this seems interesting. So I reached for it, sliding it carefully from its place. But as I removed the book, I caught a glimpse of a figure through the gap I took the book from.

Melinda's and Kieran's sharp, piercing eyes, scanned the endless rows of books. Zora led them around the library, pointing out the different sections and genres. There were books on philosophy, science, art, and history, each one meticulously cataloged and arranged on the shelves. The titles were written in elegant calligraphy, and the bindings were richly adorned with gold leaf and embossed lettering. Kieran and Melinda were overwhelmed by the sheer size of the collection, and they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer amount of knowledge that was contained within these walls.

*Roanne’s POV* The mahogany shelves of the university library gave me comfort. I admired the knowledge they kept, guarding the hushed secrets whispered between their ancient tomes. I felt the weight of those secrets pressing against my chest as I traced the spine of a leather-bound book, its title embossed in gold, yet faded by time.

I stopped at the library door and smiled to myself. ‘Books are better than people. Books don’t hate on you for something you didn’t do.’ I pushed the door open and breathed in the wonderful smell of books. ‘Paradise.’ I strolled to the shelves and scanned through the books, reading their names off their spines. ‘It seems Dante wasn’t joking when he said half of his library was filled horrors.’ A book caught my eye, and I pulled it from the others. “Bone and Souls by B. Brian.” I read the name aloud and skimmed through the description behind it. “This seems interesting.”

"But it's not always easy to control." She gestured for Claude to follow her and led her into the dusty room. Claude coughed as she followed closely behind Nuella, but when she looked up, she couldn't believe her eyes. It was a library. Books were piled high on shelves that covered every inch of the walls. There were ancient tomes, leather-bound volumes, and even a few books that appeared to be bound in human skin. The air was thick with dust, and the musty smell of old books filled the room.

I stepped to the side, exiting the aisle just as they entered, our bodies almost skimming one anothers. The spell was akin to a patch on a crack within the wall of a dam. It wouldn’t hold for long, but it was good enough for the time being. I skimmed the rows of books within the occult magic section. Anything to do with the human (or wolf) soul, I grabbed. By the time I stumbled to a table at the back of the library my arms were full.
