Novel & Cerita Haunting Adeline Book 2 Summary

Present day 2 years later, in 2017 Adeline’s POV: I awoke suddenly with a distasteful sensation. The domino effect of first seeing where I am; home? Check. What’s that awful smell; alcohol breath? Check. That toe curing sensation; migraine. Lavishing, amazing, lovely! I would say I would never go within a 5-meter diameter with alcohol but who am I kidding, I’ve said that since freshman year in university.

"The Silver Hunters ... I tried to draw them out of the school. Some of them came after me and Aldine, and we ... we did our best." I catch Marybelle's eye, and I can tell she's thinking the same thing as me. What happened to Aldine? Lee continues. "There were too many of them. We couldn't ..." He closes his eyes, trying to push away a painful memory. "They killed her." A wave of shock and grief washes over me, and I can feel tears prickling at the corners of my eyes. Aldine was one of us, a member of our group. She was brave and fierce, and she didn't deserve to die like this.

Her lips trembled, but she obeyed, folding her hands tighter in her lap. But the silence did not bring peace. Instead, memory pressed in—the garden, the sharp jolt before darkness swallowed me, and the moment earlier in the day that refused to leave my mind. Her. Adeline. I caught her scent in the corridor—faint, but impossible to miss. Herbs and earth, warm and sharp like crushed leaves. It always rattled me, tugged at pieces of memory I tried to bury. But this time, something else pushed through, heavier, sharper. Something primal roared in my blood, refusing to be ignored.

but something was missing, where was Adeline? As I asked myself this question, the door squeaked open and Eva walked in, a bright smile on her face. "Oh Aiden!" She gushed, rushing to my side. "Finally, you're a perfect man! You look so cute again!" I frowned, pushing her away from me. "Where's Adeline? And how did you get here?" "She is with her lover, Aiden. She left." Her lover? Didn't she promise to stay until the surgery was over? I wanted her to be the first person I'd see this morning but unfortunately...she couldn't wait for me. Who the hell did she go to?

She sifted through the books and was sure she would recognize one of them. "Of course, it's a book!" Rain looked almost deceived. "Because the last time we came here, my dad asked you to send him some books. But, you don't do that, madam. Can you explain why? Or do you actually know something but deliberately hide it from us?" Immediately, Ben felt betrayed and cheated by Madam Adaline and Rain. Hardy's three wolves immediately alerted. They surrounded Adalin's desk and were on high alert. Rain checked one by one the stacks of books on Adalin's desk. She fingered the cover with a damp palm out of nervousness and stopped on one of the notebooks. She felt the power of the runes depicted on the

he muttered. “Your book fell. I put it back on the shelf. Go get it and stop bothering me,” he said, closing his eyes. Adeline’s cheeks burned with embarrassment. She fetched her book, sat on the bed, leaned back, and resumed reading. Her eyes grew heavier and heavier. She finally set the book on the bedside table, pulled up the blanket, and closed her eyes. ***

I need to be comfortable if I am going to collapse. I pick up a new book to read, it is titled Haunting Adeline and it is a dark romance. I start reading the book to pass the time and about twenty minutes later, “Luna, you were right. Austiin and Cyrus followed him home and when he knocked on the door, a blonde girl opened the door and let him in,” Harlan tells me through our connection.

After a few more moments of quietly searching the room for anything else of value or importance, Adeline decided that they headed to the second floor of the mansion. Upon reaching the second floor, Adeline pushed open the door to her old room. The room was exactly as she had left it. Even her bed, which she had made, was still perfect. The lantern beside her bed was still lit, as if it had been waiting for her all this time.

she asked, trying to keep her composure, glancing back at Adam, who had grown quiet, sensing the tension. Adeline stood in the doorway, watching as Zarek’s silhouette receded into the distance. Her heart raced with uncertainty. She turned back to Adam, who was still perched on the edge of the couch, curiosity etched on his face. Just then, Zarek’s footsteps returned, and the door swung open again. Adeline barely had time to react before he stepped inside, his presence filling the room with an unsettling air. The moment he caught sight of Adam, a predatory gleam flickered in his eyes, transforming his charming demeanor into something far more sinister.

‎" Oh those.... Well I told them to burn everything you brought from your house and fill your wardrobe with new attires. What? ‎"You ...mean everything I brought" ‎"Look Adeline.... You're no more the girl you used to be. You're married to a business man who has a reputation to uphold I expect you as my wife to support that" he smiled but the smile wasn't a nice one. It made my blood boil and freeze. ‎" Yeah....I uh... understand" I don't know why but I couldn't think straight it was like this was just a nightmare that I'll wake up from soon.
