“Here we go again with this. Just because she is from another pack you think it’s okay to call her names and insult her. This is my pack Evelyn. My decisions are final. This is your last warning. Stop with the insults or you’re going to regret it.” I got tired of speaking in parables so I decided to come out and say it. “Hazel isn’t who you think she is,” I started. “I’m warning you Evelyn,” he growled. “If you don’t stop now, I’ll stop you.” “She’s from the Shadowclaw pack.” His eyes slightly widened, as he had a lot of shock breaking through his stony expression. “What are you talking about?” “I mean what I said,” I went on, my voice growing stronger. “Hazel is part of the Shadowclaw pack

During this period, “burrito” became an unspeakable word among the players. Because the moment someone said that word, a boss would immediately appear at their door. On the player forum, every post revolved around burritos. "Who on earth kidnapped this woman! The entire horror game can’t eat burritos anymore!" "Because of this woman, all the bosses entered berserk mode, and the player survival rate dropped below 10%!" "Please! Hurry and find this woman and end this!"

You can either be a hunter and work for the council or you can be an agent and work under the government or you can do both like Hazel . She got my attention now and I was listening to her with mixed feelings. One because I’m the Alpha king and I had no idea such existed and two how much danger Hazel has put herself through in the past . ‘’Hazel is not just one of the best Assassin we’ve got she’s also inhuman in her own ways which makes her good at what she does . She doesn’t leave a scent or trail so it’s perfect’’ I could clearly see the pride in her face as she talked about Haze , I mean I’ve I couldn’t help but get impressed.

I asked, taking inventory of the cart. "I had to go to town to pick up a shipment of supplies for the Luna Games. It's gonna be a bloodbath this year. I can feel it in my bones." "The Luna Games? Someone activated the Luna Games?" "Yup!" "Who?" "He's sitting right in front of you." I turned my heated gaze onto Alpha Harvey.

When I'd said that, I meant every single word of it. Her genuine smiles make my entire day. It's all I wanted to see. It's clear she remembers that day as well. Her hazel eyes light up and she beams like a lighthouse leading a lost ship home, a ship that really needed a sense of belonging today. "That offer still stands. It's still on the table," I repeat, giving her a nod of assurance. "All you have to do is speak up and we..." I motion between AJ and I, "will both have you covered with whatever it is that you need."

Lyra inquired, her keen eyes assessing Hazel's reactions. Hazel stuttered in response, and Lyra couldn't help but notice the subtle signs of nervousness—her raised heartbeat and dilated pupils. The atmosphere became charged with an unspoken tension as Lyra delved deeper into her inquiry, each moment revealing more than Hazel might have intended. "I was sick. I... fever," Hazel replied. Lyra sensed her vulnerability, recognizing her as merely a human. However, this didn't negate the fact that Hazel could potentially be used as a rogue's pawn to infiltrate the pack.

Yet here I was, playing pawn in a game I never agreed to. My mother adjusted the veil, smoothing down the lace like I was her muse. Her mannequin, and not her daughter. A human. “Remember, Sapphire,” she whispered. “Always plaster a smile onto that resting bitch face of yours. You know how much he loves his women smiling, you wouldn’t want to disappoint your husband now, would you?” Husband. The word left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Salvatore Moreti was indeed my soon-to-be husband.

Within seconds I was in Laura's Dm. I tapped the link.. It led to a game, The Harvest. It sounded like some lame farm game. "Start game", I hesitated a bit before finally selecting that option. "Howdy!", The game's mascot appeared at her screen. "What would you like your player name to be?" "Tch!... I just wanna find Laura!", I yelled at the phone. "Name too long, sorry..." "Arghhh!... Stupid game!.. my name is Belle, Belle Franchester!"

The branches are so thick that I can't see even a speck of sunlight from the other side. Calder grins. "It's easy to get lost in there." "I imagine," I say, tilting my head back and admiring the impressive height of the hedge. When I turn back to him, I find him watching me intently. "I'd like to propose a little game," I say. His eyes darken. "Oh?" I stroll ahead of him to the place where the hedge parts and the labyrinth begins. "I'll go in first," I say, "and then you have to come find me."
