“But I don't know if it will work. They're really busy.” She walked away down the hall, leaving me by myself in the empty waiting room. I walked back and forth, feeling more nervous with each second that went by. Finally, after what felt like forever, the healer came back. She was with a woman in a white coat, who looked very tired. “Ms. Ashton.” the woman said, her voice gentle but firm. “I'm a healer. I'm in charge of the King's medical care.” I ran up to her, looking at her face for a good sign. “How is he?” I asked, my voice very quiet. “Will he be okay?”
