I'm Here Now.
His throat was sore from all that screaming he did last night, so his given himself a self diagnosis that he needs to keep silent, drink milk and now, recently discovered, literally two seconds ago, to use a writing pad to converse with people around.
I quickly stir everything together once the milk is nice and warm— warm enough to drink that is.
“Here you go,” I whisper, placing the warm mug in his outstretched hands while he smiles kindly at me and I smile back, pressing a gentle little kiss on his forehead. “Don't drink it too fast.” I say.
I lean back against the counter and watch as he slightly bends his head and pouts his lips, blowing air into the mug.
