We pull back into camp just as the sky turns black. Helena jumps right in. She waves the hurt ones toward her medical tent and starts barking orders. I stand there and watch her work on Erica. She checks for broken bones inside, stops the bleeding, and makes sure my girl is really okay. “She pushed too far,” Helena mutters once she finishes. “That much power should have killed her. There's going to be a pleasant surprise that'll put Helena in an even tighter spot. On top of that, Yori is eager to reveal Helena's identity. Despite her seemingly innocent and simple demeanor, he believes she is not what she appears to be. Yori sees Helena as a cunning woman. She's good at positioning herself and using others to achieve her goals.
