I clench my fist as he nods and walks away from me. I take off across the street and head towards our street. Walking up to the front of the house. I’m approached by one of our neighbours, a woman. “Hey, is your friend ok?” she asks as she pushes her chest out. I smile at her and look into her eyes. “Yes, she has had a difficult few weeks. Please don’t concern yourself, Miss?” I look at her and she chuckles. “Louis, Nicole Louis, but everyone calls me Nicky.” She holds her hand out to me and I just look at it. Nicky said while Nathaniel grunted in response. "Is it important?" Nathaniel asked, knitting his brows in confusion. Why did his friend need to see him? "Yeah". Nathaniel drove to the familiar environment before packing a house away from the Cafe as he saw his friend who rested on his car and high-school girls surrounding him, swooning over him as his friend was busy flashing them his ladies killer's smile. Nick looked surprised but closed his mouth as soon as he saw my piercing gaze. "Sorry, go on. What are you worried about this close friend of yours? Is he that protective guy you told me about? If I'm not mistaken... he's the one who has a younger sister and only lives alone."

They were living together in one apartment to save enough money to share bills. “Hello, ladies.” As soon as they got out of their apartment, a baritone voice greeted them. “Hi, Nicki,” Carol greeted back. Despite the name, Nicki was actually a man. He was a new owner of the apartment near them. They usually see him jogging around the compound every morning. “Where are you guys going?” he asked. This time, Dion was the one who answered. “We are going to the bar, wanna come with us?” “Oh, I love to, but I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. Anyhow, enjoy and have fun,” Nicki uttered with a smile on his lips.

It was helpful at a time like this. When the call connected, Chester answered, "Hello?" "Dr. Chester, it's Nancy." "Oh, darling. What can I do for you?" Chester asked. It felt good having someone that got your back anytime needed. He was a very good friend. Nick used to be her friend from college and even after college and after she left the country, they never lost contact. He would contact her and at times come to see her and Rosie with gifts. He was also one of the few people who knew much about her.

Just before she got to the door, she thought she could hear Veronica Moulton's voice. That wasn't unusual, really, because Veronica was their neighbor and pretty much her second-best friend. Veronica and her husband Nicki were good friends and would hang out with Chloe and Jon. Nicki worked in the Tech department and would often have lunch with Chloe. She had never had any qualms with Veronica hanging out with Jonathan, just the two of them. Never seemed to be any reason to second guess if Veronica's husband Nicki was staying late at the office working on system upgrades or something.
