Salara’s POV “Are you hurt?” Henry’s strangely gruff voice breaks me from my trance. My body jumps in my seat when my gaze refocuses and finds Henry standing right beside me with a concerned look on his face. An angered look flashes in his eyes momentarily as his hands lift up to show that he is no threat to me. The fear that usually consumes me at the sight of Henry’s anger is slow to appear, so slow in fact that I don’t feel any fear at all.

He adjusted his uniform, wiping the sweat from his brow just as the Sergeant appeared from the far side of the camp, eyes sharp and scanning. “Private Warner!” the older man barked. “What the hell are you doing out here?” Henry snapped to attention, masking every trace of his sinful secret. “Finishing up, sir. Was just heading back to the barracks.” The Sergeant studied him, suspicion flickering, before nodding slowly. “See that you do.” Henry saluted, his heart still pounding. As the Sergeant turned away, Henry let out a long breath, tension coiled tight in his gut. The danger was closing in.

He asked. "Yes". "Hm". It was a simple hum but it was a dangerous one. The kind he made when he didn't believe a word he was hearing. My palms sweated while my pulse hammered. Henry stopped abruptly and I almost collided with his back. But even through my panic, my body remembered him and the exact distance that kept us magnetised yet separate. He turned to face me and I noticed how the moonlight cut across his features, highlighting the faint scar above his brow, the hard line of his cheek, and the inescapable pull of his eyes.

he said in a very low tone which I hardly heard. " Take the left turn , and make sure you climb the tallest tree there for safety, make a right turn and also climb any tree there ,from afar you'll see your pack , that's the only way you'll be free and safe from rogues and other dangerous pack "he said to me. My eyes beamed in suprise " he wasn't going to have my blood ? Really? But my great-grandmother had told.me to run and hide if I ever come across one of them ".

Even though he stood there casually, Henry felt a suffocating pressure. Lydia sensed something was wrong and turned to look, though she could not figure out what was happening. "Who are you?" Henry asked. His expression remained calm, but inside, he was on high alert. That person had appeared without him even noticing, and that was alarming. What truly worried Henry was the overwhelming sense of danger from the stranger, a feeling that he might not be able to protect Lydia. He had no other guards around; he had thought his presence was enough to keep her safe.

It's kind of funny seeing a guy as confident and powerful and dangerous-looking stuttering like a 5 year old, but the situation is stopling me from laughing. He sits there and he doesn't say, or do anything, just sits there for a few long moments; I'm not even sure if he's breathing. And then, all of a sudden, he stands up, pushing the chair bacwards so hard that it falls over, and covers his face with his palms. "Motherfucker." he mumbles to himself and then gives me that dangerous look he has when he's planning to kill someone. Oh boy. "With who? You're pregnant with who?" he roars out and I want to sink into the ground because everybody's eyes are on us.

“You saw them?” “Yes.” “Describe him.” I hesitated, then said, “Tall. Broad shoulders. Black hoodie. He didn’t try to hide. He wanted me to see him.” Joseph’s face darkened. “That sounds like a warning.” “I already told security to sweep the perimeter,” Jillian said. Joseph nodded slowly, then turned to me again. “And you’re sure it wasn’t someone from the staff?” “No. His eyes—he looked like he wanted me to know I wasn’t safe.”

It was as if, with just a beckoning of my hand, he would give me his life. “Want to see?” The sense of danger dissipated the moment he spoke. I nodded without thinking. “Yes. Definitely.” Henry’s eyes flicked slightly, a dangerous edge coloring his tone. “Once you see it, there’s no going back. “Tattooing this spot will hurt.” I had cried like a baby the last time I had gotten my collarbone tattooed. “Then… maybe forget it.” I breathed a secret sigh of relief. Henry’s expression said, “I knew it”, but he didn’t expose me.

Vivian stepped closer instinctively. “What happened?” Damien looked at her carefully. “Security found footage of the man leaving the building.” “And?” Another pause. Then Damien turned the phone screen toward them. Vivian’s breath caught instantly. The image was grainy from rain and streetlight distortion, but still visible enough to recognize: an older man, gray coat, baseball cap pulled low— and a deep scar running across the left side of his face. Roman went still beside her. Damien noticed immediately. “You know him.”

Under the evening glow, his eyes were desolate, and there was a fairly unusual grin on his fierce face, which made individuals shiver. Out of nowhere, two tall men dressed in dark showed up at the entry of the back street. Henry took a gander at the two with dismay, and made a couple of strides back. "You, who are you?" "Try not to mind what our identity is. follow us!" expressed part of the gang. Henry felt an eruption of dread, gulped his spit, he turned his head and looked behind him, contemplating internally that he could run out of that place the quickest.
