Frost asked watching me closely. My eyes met hers and I saw something. It was like black smoke floating around her, out of her. Oh, how exciting this dream was becoming. My warning bells went off. He could feel himself getting succumbed into the intense rage that was fast beginning to devour him. The sight of Quinn looking all rumpled and injured pissed him a lot more than he ever thought it would; and extremely worried at the same time. His heart began to hammer violently in his chest when all of a sudden, the person behind the camera began to count down. He didn’t know what it meant, couldn’t exactly understand why the person was counting down until all of a sudden, the entire place exploded with Quinn still in it. A loud agonized scream tore out of the back of Henry’s throat as he stared open mouthed at the phone’s screen.

Henry didn't realize when Tania started to wobble and gripped the straps of her backpack tightly, he was too busy with his own thoughts and crossed the highway to the opposite street without noticing Tania. Tania saw Henry's back which was getting further away made her panic a little, the feeling of fear of losing Henry's back made her walk quickly. She chased after him without looking to her side before crossing. "WATCH OUT!" Henry jumped up and looked back, the screams sounded very loud and the squeaking of the car brakes that were no less loud made the situation even more heated. Strangely, cold sweat was flowing profusely when he saw Tania's bag which had fallen apart near the front tire

"Everyone looks straight until they're not." I stood and walked across the club. I stopped at their table. "First time at Sinners?" Diego looked up. Those hazel eyes were even better up close. Full of things he was trying not to show. "Yeah," he answered.

It set the ladies giggling as well, earning them both an ironic look. Andrea averted her gaze from his vibrant blue eyes. He wasn’t a looker, but those eyes could do dangerous things to an unsuspecting woman. Jasmine had discreetly told her he was wearing a nose filter, which was fortunate for her peace of mind. She didn’t think she could handle the hot-blooded pursuit of more than one Haunt at a time.

Katherine shut her eyes slowly, she knew she was certainly going to have an indigestion after this meal, she could still feel the grudge from Rita. Her mouth went dry as she scrambled for her phone. “He's getting close, the men might shoot!!” She cried, her hands trembling on her phone.

My chest tightened. She looked at Henry again. His breathing had grown thinner now, more uneven than before. “He’s slipping again,” she said quietly. “And this time… I don’t think we can get him back.” Her voice dropped lower. “Let’s end this. It’s too dangerous.” The words landed heavily. I looked at Henry, but my thoughts were still tangled up. At first I had thought I understood what I was dealing with. The distortion had looked widespread, but simple enough in principle. Something buried deep, yes—but still something I could dismantle if I worked carefully enough.
