Lucien’s POV: My face tightened even more as I waited for Henry to gather his thoughts and finally say what was on his mind. As the seconds stretched into minutes, I gritted my teeth. Henry must have heard the low growl that slipped from my lips, as he quickly opened his mouth to speak. “I was coming home late, taking the alley shortcut. I don’t usually pay attention to much, but that night… I saw something.” He swallowed hard, glancing nervously over his shoulder as though he was still afraid of being watched.

“Yes, I do. And you know I’m not afraid to spill the truth. Always!!" Daniel sighed. “I appreciate your concern but I’m cool. I’m not planning anything ridiculous.” “If you say so! Are you coming to the club tonight?” “No. I’ve got plans.” “Plans? What sort of plans? Today is Friday!” Henry recalled. Even though they all missed the club once in a while for other engagements that could be work, they hardly missed Friday’s fun. “Yeah, Something came up. I was going to drop you and Chad a message.” “If you say so!”

Nina and Henry sat in confusion until they fell asleep. But at some point, Henry opened his eyes, he started tossing and turning all night, unable to find any peace. His mind raced with thoughts of Marcus's threats and the looming danger that hung over his family. He frequently stood up to check for any signs of Marcus. He knew they couldn't stay in their home any longer. Marcus was unpredictable, and Henry couldn't risk the safety of his loved ones any further.

Larissa dodged him impatiently and said coldly, "I have yet to settle the score with you about you getting Ross abducted, and you have the guts to come and see me?" Henry looked ghastly. He lowered his voice as if he was afraid of being heard. "Larissa, you've got to be careful of that child. He's dangerous!" Larissa looked at him as if he were an idiot, and laughed coldly. "Is there something wrong with your brain? I practice medicine but I wouldn't be able to save someone like you." Henry gritted his teeth.
