My mind was spinning fast. We were stuck in the basement again, Henry was shot, and my parents were miles away at a waterfront warehouse.

That night, Jax Hamill glanced around Dangerous Curves bar, checking the vibe. It was pretty relaxed for a change, he was relieved to observe. Things had been far too tense far too often lately… but no surprise there. It seemed that every single goddamn time he’d turned around over the past few months, some crisis was sitting there, just hanging out, and waiting to explode. She closed the door between them with a soft, final click and leaned against it, panting breathlessly. On the other side, Henry answered the call, voice rough with frustration. “What?” The voice on the other line was low but sounded dangerous, he listened impatiently. Then suddenly his eyes went wide and mouth actually fell open in shock. “What the fuck?”

The children played quietly, sensing the unease of the adults. Outside, the police patrolled the area, their presence gave a small comfort. But Henry knew it wouldn’t be enough. Marcus was a dangerous man, and he wouldn’t stop until he got what he wanted. Later that evening, as they sat in the living room, Henry’s phone buzzed again. It was a message from an unknown number. He opened it and read the words, this made his heart sink. “You can’t hide forever. I’ll find you.” He showed the message to Nina. “Henry What do we do?” she asked, her voice trembling.

Henry replied while giving his head a light scratch. "Good." Mr Leo said and hung up. Henry fell back on his chair with a sigh. He loosened the grip his necktie had on him and immediately phoned Dane. A few minutes later, Dane walked into Henry's office smartly dressed in a brown tuxedo. He settled on the sofa. "We have a problem, Dane," Henry said and sat up. "Of course, we have a problem. You went missing Friday night and came home Saturday morning." Dane said.

He stopped smiling immediately before sitting down, placing the envelop he has brought with him on the table. Jane sat across him and glanced at the wine on the table. “Wine?” She raised her glass, and he nodded, she pushed an empty neat glass to him and poured him some wine from the wine bottle. “How is he?” Jane asked after Henry sipped some glass of wine, her expression now serious and the smiles on her face were wiped off her face like they were never there. Henry exhaled sharply and pushed the envelope to her and she glanced at it. “See for yourself.” He told her and she took the envelope, tearing it open, she took out the pictures on it and her eyes drooped.

It's kind of funny seeing a guy as confident and powerful and dangerous-looking stuttering like a 5 year old, but the situation is stopling me from laughing. He sits there and he doesn't say, or do anything, just sits there for a few long moments; I'm not even sure if he's breathing. And then, all of a sudden, he stands up, pushing the chair bacwards so hard that it falls over, and covers his face with his palms. "Motherfucker." he mumbles to himself and then gives me that dangerous look he has when he's planning to kill someone. Oh boy. "With who? You're pregnant with who?" he roars out and I want to sink into the ground because everybody's eyes are on us.
