He smirked, “Forgive me," he said, not in a remorseful tone but in a forceful tone, as if it was a threat instead of a plea or a command but I didn't flinch.

So she didn't understand what was going on. And also, the flashback she always had of Raymond smiling at her. She looked at Raymond and shook her head. This same devil that is bent on making her life miserable. Why would the almighty alpha prince, who is the next king over everyone, smile at her? He's just doing this because their mating bond makes them... He had the same pain. Which he also wondered if this is what the moon goddess is deliberately doing to protect her from him trying to kill her.

Alara was already whining within me, wanting more of him. My hands were no longer balling at my sides. One of them was on his chest, and the other was tugging at his hair. I moaned against his lips again, and he suddenly pulled back. I sat down, wondering what I did wrong.

A pause. Then, pleased and cruel, “Taken at night... the. thrown away by morning.” '...thrown away?' I looked confused as the laughter sharpened. “That’s what happens when you forget your place.” “I wonder how badly you disgusted the Alpha,” she said lightly, “that he sent you away before morning.” She smiled. “I should get ready. He might order everything you touched burned next.” The red-haired omega looked at me again. “Do you know what happens to omegas who don’t belong?” she asked quietly.
