History At The Library Novels & Stories

I wait five full minutes before leaving the romance aisle. Time is short,he’ll be back soon to check on me. I hurry toward the back of the library, where the old books are shelved. History never used to interest me, but now it feels like the only lifeline I have. The older texts are tucked in shadowed shelves, worn but well-kept. Geraldine, the librarian, takes pride in this place. I run my fingers along the cracked leather spines, letting instinct guide me. One book practically calls to me.

"No I don’t, why don’t you tell me?" We make our way to the book shelves and I pull out the history book I had lent from the backpack on Roman’s hands. I push it back in the history book section, then I sign on the paper that hangs above the piles. It is the one thing I like about Lupin’s library; not needing to consult the librarian before lending a book and not having to walk to the librarian’s table to sign in or out. "Did you even read the book?" Roman asks as I start to scan the length of the stands again. I need a new read. Lycania’s history is actually really interesting.

Not knowing what to do within the four walls, sitting under the tutelage of two friends, she spent time reading books. The library was huge with many racks filled with books; people could get lost in this huge library. It had everything about the wizards, their origin, and types of magic they possess, powerful wizards, their ranking, and also the history of the kingdoms. I would stay there and read the books till dinner time.

The scent of old paper and polished wood filled the air, creating an atmosphere of timeless tranquility. “Do people come here often?” I asked, curious about how much use this impressive space got. “Not really,” Lily admitted. “It’s mostly used for research. People come to the history section when they need information for work or school.” I nodded, understanding the utility of such a resource. As I walked through the aisles, I noticed the variety of genres available: romance, werewolf fiction, fantasy, history, education, paranormal, and many others. Each section was meticulously organized, and it was clear that someone had taken great care in maintaining this library.

"Oh library? Goodness. A girl with beauty and brains. Wow!" He kept looking at the girl, till she entered the gigantic building. "Time to work on some history notes." William too walked inside the library building, and entered a gigantic reception area, where several librarians were sitting and working. "Good afternoon. I would like to use the history section. This is my student's identification card." William handed over his identification card and the receptionist's eyes opened widely looking at the name. She then turned to look William as if she had just seen a celebrity, but refrained from saying anything. "Thank you. The history section is on second floor, to your right."

“I’m here to borrow a book.” “Of course,” the librarian said. “What genre are you looking for?” “Historical non-fiction,” Aurora answered without hesitation. Bobby had told her the cover story earlier. “European history, preferably.” The librarian nodded. “That would be aisle seven. Third shelf from the back.” Aurora smiled. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” She turned away calmly, her heels clicking softly against the floor as she headed deeper into the library. Aisle seven. She spotted Bobby before she reached the end of it.

“I have a question. I need the books for the High Council from about seventy years ago.” He nodded. “I think I know the two books.” “I’m gonna grab the Alpha King’s information for those years as well, maybe he mentioned something about it.” We broke our little huddle and I went to one side of the room, he went to the other. To say this place was huge, was an understatement. This was the smaller of the two libraries but there were two levels, the floor to ceiling books that were jammed in that not a playbook could be squeezed between. It was my home away from home. I grabbed the journal as well as the official history for that time. My eyes fell over the genealogy of the kings and I grabbed
