I blushed under his surprised gaze and nodded, then pointed to the rows of shelves, silently asking if I could pick another one.
He chuckled. “Go on, dear. Help yourself.”
I smiled and walked past the counter toward the endless rows of books. The library was massive, and the sheer number of books was overwhelming.
This time, I found myself wandering toward the history section. There were so many titles—books on how the pack was founded, the first Alpha, the lands that had grown exponentially.
