Hobgoblin Folklore Novels & Stories

Probably an even mix. He’d been up half the night with thoughts of goblins and gumiho. Halmeoni used to tell Jihoon stories about dokkaebi tricking humans and nine-tailed foxes eating the livers of men. Horror stories camouflaged as fables to teach lessons. But those types of stories were supposed to stay in books, not come to life and almost choke him to death.

,I asked when I noticed the surrounding starting to get familiar ,and it hit me that I had seen this place in the vision we had had. As we flew over the treetops, Aunty May pointed out different landmarks and explained the supernatural creatures that inhabited them. "You see that cluster of trees over there? That's a faerie ring. The faeries are mischievous creatures, but they're generally harmless. However, you should never eat their food or drink their wine, or you'll be bound to their realm forever." Aunty Laura added, "And those rocks over there? Those are the homes of the goblins. They're nasty creatures, always looking for trouble. But they're also fiercely loyal to their kin, so if yo

They are a bunch of cowards who can’t do anything because of fear, yet they dare talk about people behind their back. The general Hawk is a beautiful woman. She is one of the few women who like to do what she wants. Her father died early killed by a demon. She swore to take revenge on them. Her story is pretty known around the capital. In my last life, she didn’t live for long. She got captured by a horde of goblins ; they are pretty weak, but when there are a lot of them, I don’t think that anyone would stand a chance against them. Their race is pretty dangerous, and they are perverts. They like impregnating women.

The screen door creaked as Old Man Evans poked his aged head out of his house. Kel had never had a positive encounter with the man. He wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he couldn't. The man was a goblin and goblins were doing bad stuff in this world. Besides, gargoyles and goblins were mortal enemies. For hundreds of years, if any of the stories his father had told him when he was a kid were true. Plus, goblins smelled nasty. Like rotting garbage. It had taken Kel a few years to realize that humans didn't smell them.

Their alpha had arrived. The goblins would not be an issue- Unless they ganged up heavily on one person. The biggest risk weres the hobgoblins. They mounted the Larras, giant four-eyed jaguars with scorpion tails. Their thin insect-like legs earned them their names. Larras scurried around cloaked in the depths of their own shadows. Lewis, his newest mercenary, was the nearest wolf. The one with the least experience. He was exchanging near-lethal blows with a hobgoblin. Lewis was holding his own.

Strangely, the old man seemed to mix with the surrounding smells, completely repeating them, or, I would even say, continuing them, being part of them! - Are you a goblin? - a hunch dawned on me, and, having stopped looking at my feet, I stumbled on a root protruding from the ground and, having lost my balance, stretched out on the ground. There have always been many delusional myths and fairy tales about goblin, but, if we discard everything superfluous, in general, they are pretty good creatures. Once upon a time, before the adoption of a foreign faith by the Slavic peoples, goblin willingly went out to people, helping them in certain situations, or vice versa, cold-bloodedly brought to de

So much time passed she worried about her baby. “Excellent idea. Let’s hope she’ll talk to us. Before we go through anything else in that book we should worry about?” Greta didn’t want to remind Gabby that they still didn’t know who performed the ritual that put the curse in place. “It talks of the fair folk a lot and to appease them always. They still pass those traditions down from generation to generation, and we put it right into the traditions of the inn, so it becomes a unique part of the visit. There’s also talk about spirits and ghosts. Like they are two different things.”

He asked in a teasing manner. She wanted to throw her macaron at him, but recalling Agathus’ warning voice she held back with a frown. Alastair was glad to see that Alexis didn’t return his behaviour with a smile. ‘I should give Agathus that bonus’ he thought with a smile. ‘But more importantly…’ he frowned, knowing how difficult goblin infestations were to control. Countless deaths had been at the hands of those extremely small but strong beings. A goblin was the result of a feral dwarf. They lose their mind and shy away from the sun and then their skin changes colour and they attack any humans on sight.

Gwen asked. "Yes, Hobgoblins are the evolved form of a normal goblin who has become strong enough to evolve. Hobgoblins have a more humanoid appearance and are both taller and smarter than ordinary goblins." He went on to say, giving the group some knowledge about them. "I've never seen one before..." Owen said, seeing for himself that the two of them looked strong. "As if these weak humans made it here." The green Hobgoblin said, placing his left hand onto the butt of his hilt.

The ancient fables of the Hobgoblin society told of a time when they were the prey of the NightWolves, but thanks to the leadership of the great KoKuKa, the Hob Chief at the time, they were able to turn the tides around. Yet, this victory was not easily won. It took the dedicated efforts of several generations of Hobgoblin Chiefs to secure their dominion over the dark land once ruled by powerful predators. These events happened so long ago that they were now considered fables in Hobgoblin lore. The Hobgoblins now only knew peace and prosperity, and the only reason they hadn’t lost their combat skills was due to the contests that were frequently held—once every month. If it hadn’t been for th
