Chris held up a hand for silence. “This council would meet annually to discuss politics, make decisions that affect all five packs. We have seen what division can do to us. I believe it’s time we were truly united. What do you all think?” Alpha Fabian was the first to speak. “And who would lead this council?” “We all would,” Chris replied. “Equal voices, equal votes. No single pack would have more power than the others.” “And the human emissary?” Alpha Winston asked, clearly skeptical. “Ophelia,” Chris said, gesturing to our friend. “That is who we would nominate for Moonstone. Although, I believe that each pack should have their own.”

The man now is collecting allies and rebellions. Now he wasn’t just challenging us he is challenging the factions themselves the people who set the rules for us hundreds of years ago. This is the holly council that over seers us all. They have the power and wealth to wipe us from this earth. And we are their slaves, they are the shepherd and we are the meager herd. And now that crazy fucker is questioning and challenging them. And this won’t end well either for him or us and that is why I have told her to step aside. I know she will be caught in the cross fire and I don’t want to lose her. Not again.

He claimed her that very night and married her the next day, without waiting another moment. Apart from her beauty, Lydia possessed the intelligence and ambition of a Luna, striving to lead her pack with wisdom. Like her mother, who heads the Luna Council, Lydia wanted to become a doctor, helping not only her pack but also neighboring ones. She knew one day her skills would be recognized and valued. Luna Alice wrapped her arms around her daughter, inhaling her sweet scent. The sunlight streamed in through the long-furnished window, illuminating Lydia’s blonde hair and adding a beautiful glow to the moment.

Her decisiveness and precise judgment were important qualities in Melissa's rule. Beatrice shifted her weight a bit, cleared her throat and then started. “There are six prominent members of the council. Alina, Mya, Theresa, Greyhound, Lucas and Dean," she listed the names of every single one of the council members one after the other. "Oh, and me too," she said with a smile. "As it stands, I have been able to make positive contact with Greyhound and Lucas." Melissa didn't really give much thought about Lucas as a person. He was a stoic appearing man that barely said anything. He always appeared to Melissa as tired and a figurehead. He was so silent in council meetings that most of the time,

He said and left the room. Silence followed us after that. Eula grabbed my hands tightly and dragged me out of the room. "Wait, why are we leaving? I thought the Supreme Council has already arrived?" I asked. She stopped and turned to me with her jaw dropped open. "You've got to be fucking kidding me!" she exclaimed. "That's the Supreme Council Student, Florence! The one you fucking embarrassed in front of the other council members is Supreme Council Beau!" she shouted at me. I shrugged my shoulders and let out a silly grin.

The question echoed in the grand dining hall like a stack of thunder. “Luna Laura, where is your mate mark?” The voice came from the far end of the room. Measured, sharp and powerful. The hall fell into a hush as all eyes turned towards the speaker. Councilor Helen Morgan, the only female member of the high council, her silver streaked black robes gleaming with authority. She moved with poise, her every step a silent command. Her gaze, sharp as a blade locked on Laura.

Hurai told her with Fera not saying a word in return as she simply nodded, as they both got into the carriage they would be sharing with each other, while their maids, and servants shared the rest. Meanwhile, in the kingdom of Elfina, a serious meeting involving all the council women and men was going on, one that included at least three high council women instead of the usual meetings where high council woman Yoret, was the only one that needed to attend. Apart from the three high council women there, were Council Oreal, Council Horess, Council Sphlix, and Council Godavari. High Council Yoret spoke first, “To clarify on why we’re here. The kingdom of Lunera of the werewolves and that of Blo

Albus revealed. I wiped my eyes and cleaned my nose. “What really stopped the war?” I asked. I had to know. “Frostwood and I created the council. A group of chosen witches, humans and werewolves who would both come together and hold each other accountable for the sole purpose of law and order,” Albus replied. “And now, Deucalion is using the council against me,” Issa said. “For what purpose?” Albus asked. “To keep me away from Yulia, so there will be no one to protect her when Helena finally comes for her.” Issa replied.

Max cleared his throat, his voice steady but tinged with urgency. Taking a moment to observe the council members, Max noted their identities. The council comprised seven individuals: Jackson, Fenrir, Magnus, Astrid, Thalia, Ragnar, and Ruben. They were all revered Elders within the werewolf community. But Max knew their reputations didn’t necessarily reflect their true nature. Ruben and Jackson were sympathetic to Max’s cause, and he hoped to win over Thalia, the only female alpha in the council.
