But my father waited a very long time for her, and he wants to enjoy the time they have left. I’ve also taken up my seat at the supernatural council. The council was created by the Guardians nearly two decades ago. Once the supernatural community realized that werewolf Guardians were stronger than any other supernatural creature, the supernaturals began asking them to preside over issues among their kind. The aptly named, Custos Regni, or Guardians of the Realm as the vampires termed them, created the council which includes a minimum of two Guardians, a werewolf from another pack, a vampire and a fae. I’m currently in the rotation as the next fae King. Once my time is up, I’ll elect another

he said and smiled at Anna. “Then she should also know that this is against the law, she’s human and Jericho can face the Council for dating and telling her,” Dani said looking at Anna maliciously. “What’s the Council?” Anna asked. “The Council is like a courtroom with judges that upholds our laws,” I said to her. “Did you tell her you can face execution for dating her?” Dani asked me. “Is that true?” Anna asked. “What’s your problem, Dani?” I asked her.

She tried for years to make Reed and his twin, Lily, see him in the right light, see him for the bastard he was. “We should get down to business,” the pack’s beta and Peter’s brother, George, said calmly. He did not care for his sister-in-law’s petty hatred. “The Priestess is on her way now, escorted by Gamma Skye personally. She wishes to discuss a potential Council meeting.” “Sir, if I may,” Colin spoke up, earning himself nasty looks from around the room. “I would like to know what this Council is. And how it could help my mate.” “The Council is only for the pack leaders,” Alpha Peter stated firmly. “And that is not you. Reed, Colin, leave.”

Her features turning serious, we watched as Aiden remained silent, his eyes on the organizer as he typed furiously. "The Council have called a meeting. The letter is believed to be from the people behind the kidnappings." My blood chilled to ice. Everyone knew about the Council. Made up of six of the deadliest vampires in the world, every continent had one, and was answered to by sub-councils in each country– and Jacob Thorne was on that said Council, a position that was handed over to him after his brother's death. A position that was made for Aiden Thorne who would no doubt be stepping up in the years to come.

And right in the center of this panoramic chaos sat the High Council—twelve figures cloaked in blinding white light, their faces hidden behind masks of shifting liquid silver that mirrored the destruction on the screens. "Architect Vane," one of the Council members spoke, the voice amplified and distorted until it sounded like grinding tectonic plates. "You promised us the cure. You promised us the stabilizer for the new world order. But she looks… unrefined. She smells of the gutter."

Powerful. Twelve Council members sat in judgment. Alphas from various territories. Powerful. Influential. Skeptical. "Luna Eclipse," the head councilor said. "Princess Selene Moonshadow. Thank you for attending." "We had a choice?" I asked. "Not really. But politeness costs nothing." We stood before them. Evaluated. Judged. Assessed. "We've received disturbing reports," another councilor said. "Increasing rogue attacks. Coordinated. Organized. Targeting Silverwood specifically."

“What do you get from helping him?” “Take over the Dark Council, of course!” His smile widened. “The Dark Council holds authority over all eleven dimensions. If I can control the Dark Council, then not one but eleven worlds will come under my command.” “The Dark Council is the protector of the dimensions! They won’t let you win so easily.” I defended while thinking about little Miaka and the twin lycan cubs I met at my reception. If Tuhin comes after them... No! I couldn’t let that happen.

She wasn't hurt. "Sebastian please step forward," Silva, the head of the council stated. She was the oldest council member and was dressed in white completely. Each member had their own signature colour and it is the colour of their eyes; Enits is blue while Heed is gold. All members are female, except for Dakel (silver) who is Heed's brother. "Morning Council." I greeted then sat down. "Mark please also sit." She smiled as Mark sat down next to me. The table was now completely full.

Kristen responded first, murmurs of 'same' came from Jack and Blake, Alissa bit her lip and nodded. “Has anyone met the council before?” Luca stood addressing them all, everyone shook their heads. Luca took a deep breath, “OK, so Rufus is the High Lykos, he leads the council. Then there's his advisor Wade, who is essentially a Beta for the council. The rest of the council are made up of John, Webster, Fuller and Raoul, these gentlemen; and they are gentlemen, abide by the code to the nth degree. I'm unsure if all of the high council will come, they never say. But whether there are three or all six. They do not like jokes, they do not like cheek. We want them to rule in our favour, so no funn
