Nova POV. I did get my paper and pencils to draw, and I did a great drawing of daddy Lucifer, along with the horns, the tail and the pitchfork. Maybe it wasn't really him but that's how I'm seeing him today, he's a big evil meanie, punishing me when I did nothing! "Look" I say standing up and showing him my drawing, he take the paper from my hand and look at it, it takes him some time before turning back to me.

I tilted my head and bit my lower lip and look away. His face is full of different colors with different drawings. There's a big black circle around his eyes and if he closes his eyes you could see a another eye on it. I have drawn a hair at circles on his nose and something like a booger on it. I draw a middle finger on his cheeks and a drawl on his mouth. I even made his thick eyebrows thicker! However, he still looks handsome yet funny. My eyes widened when he stood up. "You are done? Then leave!" I gulped so hard and hide the nervousness I'm feeling.

In the end, I think they turned out great. Not that I knew what the others were for but there was also a frog on a log, a humming bird and a fat Cardinal. The very last one I was drawing was for Arlo. He got those picture for us, or more for me. It was of a wolf. It’s head was downward with his teeth showing. The hair was standing straight up with a human skull under it’s paw. There wasn’t any flesh on it, just the bones. Originally, I was going to make it a dead rabbit or something but this seemed appropriate. Keeping this one black and white, kept some of the mystery alive. “Charlotte??” Waylon yelled as he was coming in.

Henry then proceeded on his way. As he grew accustomed to it, the combat became simpler, to the point where he could defeat four orcs at once without suffering any harm. Just like that, he arrived inside the centre of the first floor of this dungeon and came face to face with another creature. Horned Boar, a pig with a black horn on its forehead, as the name suggests. "It's a little smaller than I expected." Henry conversed with himself. "Teng!" "Crazy!" As the Horn boar charged at him with scary speed, Henry ducked to the side.

He had found a Minotaur. More precisely, the Minotaur had found him. It stood over him, a good eighteen inches taller, its large, dark eyes gazing at him intently. The creature’s lips were pulled back slightly, revealing large square teeth, and Andric knew it was not a smile. The brows were furrowed, giving him a fierce countenance. Coupled with that was the fact that his horns, a most impressive pair of curving spikes, seemingly aimed right at Andric, shone impressively in the firelight.

The face staring back at him didn't look at all familiar. His face didn't seem particularly reptilian, looking more like a cross between a wolf and a large cat, but with steel gray scales covering everything. His nostrils were slits and his ears where smaller, but otherwise he didn't look much like any reptile he'd seen. Growing out of the back of his head were two six-inch horns that gently spiraled like an African antelope -- a kudu -- only straighter.

I said gently, wrapping my finger. She giggled. “No, he is! He gave me this crayon box. Ask Jimmy if you don’t believe me.” She showed me her drawing: five figures. “That’s you in pink, Daddy in black, me in yellow, Jimmy in blue... and—” “And who’s this one in red?” I asked. “Why are there horns? Is that blood, Luna?” Before she could answer, Elane walked in. Luna quickly hid the sketchpad behind her back.

He grabbed his drawing materials, and I watched as he balanced the sketchbook on his leg while he drew. “Do you need to look at my phone?” I asked. “Nope. I think I’m good.” I set my phone face down on the seat beside me and watched as Thorne sketched out a lotus. His left brow lifted higher than his right while he concentrated, and I couldn’t help the smile that twisted my lips at the sight. It was something I’d seen him do a million times in high school when he would draw. I’d always thought it was cute, but this older version of him made the gesture look hot. When his teeth scraped along his bottom lip, warmth surged through my core.

The lines started to become more polished as the intelligence of the beasts increased until they became beautiful and majestic. The one that stuck out the most for David was the painting of a skeleton. It had 12 blood-red wings coming from its back, two pairs of horns grew on its head, and a red heart was glowing on its chest. It was pointing at the sky, and its flaming eyes looked upwards. Surrounding him were kneeling figures, some were tall, others were short, some were alive, some were ghosts. But all of them respectfully bowed to the existence that the skeleton was signaling. Skeletor looked with interest at the painting and tried to touch it with his bony fingers, but a hand stopped hi

I unlock the door as quietly as I can. Jonah’s asleep on the couch. He’s too big for it now—his legs hang off the edge, one arm thrown over his face and the other holding onto his inhaler—but he’s curled up under the blanket I bought him last Christmas. His sketchbook’s on the floor next to him, open to a page covered in dark, jagged lines. I kneel down. Look at the drawing. Monsters again. Always monsters. Claws and teeth and too many eyes, things that don’t look human but almost are, things that are breaking apart or putting themselves back together. I can never tell which.
