I renegotiate our deal. The room is brightly lit, but shadows linger in each corner. In my mind they reach out for me like long distorted hands of an unknown beast. The action figures lined up in neat rows on the walls stare at us, their blank eyes tracking each movement. Well... for what it's worth I'm pretty sure Hellboy is supposed to look demonic.

I was about to walk out of my room but suddenly a phone vibrated and sounded eerily. My gaze then went to my bed from where the sound and the vibrating originates. "S. L. U. T. You! You! You! K. E. A. T. T. O. N. You! You! You!" The phone sang. The voice was like a robotic old grandma with an airy voice that can be audible in horror movies. My mind is torn between grabbing the phone or just leaving the room.

"I will come for your eyes, Blake—when you least expect it, I will poke out your eyeballs and eat them for dinner!" Blake shudders uncontrollably. "Please don't sound like a sinister witch! The fact that you are a witch only makes it scarier!" "Pft!" I shake my head. "I'm not dangerous." "Of course not," Blake says.
