She just walked over, and was now staring at us with a confused but vigilant look. “You should not talk about that, you know?” The nurse frowned. “But I don’t even know what it is that I am not supposed to talk about,” I observed her look carefully. She didn’t look scared like everyone else. Maybe she could reveal this secret that Grant wouldn’t. “Knox Hawthorne,” The nurse started, “He was the--” She paused her words when the ward door was pushed open. It was Orion. Orion and the Lady, both. I watched the look on the nurse’s face change from surprise, then to shock, then to anger then stone cold, so fast and complicated all in a short moment.

I held my stomach. But soon, I felt a soft trembling hand pushing my hands away from my stomach. I stared up to see a young nurse towering above me. I couldn’t see her face because she had a surgical mask on, but her eyes were filled with fear. She looked like she was being forced to do this. “Please… don’t…” “I’m sorry ma’am,” she mumbled, tears dancing in her eyes. “I’m sorry, but I have to—” “Shut up and get to work,” one of the men screamed, holding his blade just inches away from her neck.

Like a fire had been sleeping inside me and had just woken up. I glowed. The air trembled. The earth stilled. Even the witch paused, her expression no longer confident but wary—afraid. Everything around me went white. ________________________________________ I jolted awake, gasping. The light in the room was dim but real. Cold sweat drenched my body. I blinked rapidly, heart still racing, my breathing shallow. But it wasn’t the dream that froze me— It was the two nurses staring at me. Their eyes wide. Mouths parted in horror.

"But there was something else, right before it happened. It was weird as fuck. The lights flickered. Like in those old horror movies. A few people said it felt like the floor vibrated." I shift uncomfortably. “Wow. Coincidence." She raises an eyebrow. "You don’t believe in coincidences. You have never seen anything as a coincidence. Are you sure you are good?" She raises a brow at me, skeptical. "I don’t believe in haunted gyms either. And I'm fine. Stop stressing me." She snorts. "Tell that to my goosebumps." The curtain shifts and the nurse enters; a stern woman in her fifties with square glasses and a clipboard clutched like a weapon. She eyes me with a tight smile.

We were sitting on the couch ,her legs on my laps eating Pizza, which has become her favourite, Did I say she eats alot now, there's never any leftover. She had an earphone plugged in,she just nodded her head to the rhythm of whatever she was playing. The time was 3 PM already and today is Saturday,the appointment is for 3pm.I wondered why she(the doctor) was not yet here. Natty will be going for her dance practice by 3:30pm. Just as I took up my phone to call the doctor,the door bell rang. "I will go get it..."I said to Natty. I opened the door to see the doctor ,Miss Linda,she had this cute smile on and she looked so formal,so much for being a doctor.

He shot up from the chair and saw a nurse suddenly entering the room, her face pale like she’d seen a ghost. “Are you okay?” Marc asked, noticing how badly she was shaking. The nurse swallowed hard and nodded quickly. “Y-yes, sir. I’m fine.” “What happened just now? Why do you look so scared?” Marc asked. The nurse looked down, clearly hesitant or ashamed to tell him what she saw. “Please, help me understand. What exactly happened?” Marc urged her gently. “I saw someone I didn’t recognize leaving this room. And what really scared me was… I saw him hiding a pocketknife inside his jacket.”
