If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it could still turn out to be a very odd Japanese sex toy. The Pope’s followers did not have that rotting-off-the-bone look you associate with zombies. Or zombers — I wouldn’t want to offend anyone. They were pale, had a desiccated quality to the parchment-like skin clinging to their bones, and milky balls of horror where their eyes should have been. Which isn’t to say they were bad people. Maybe they were ghouls who ate the dead, but cemeteries take up a lot of valuable real estate, and what exactly are we saving up our dead for?

A specific section caught my attention. ‘ Werewolves and shapeshifters hate camphor. They cannot tolerate its smell. It doesn’t harm them but does keep them away.’ It would be very easy to slip a few camphor tablets into Alex’s clothes but I had to confirm it with Eric. I walked into the living room to find Eric engrossed reading a very old manuscript. The pages were made of papyrus sheets and the script was so ancient that I had no clue what it was about. “ Eric….”

I’d heard there were places where you could rent the tapes for a lot less than what they cost to buy, but it hadn’t changed my mind. I started towards the doorway with the curtain but stopped short by the tapes next to it. This section was at least twice the size of all the others. The covers of these boxes were all screams and knives. Bloody chainsaws and heaving breasts. The sign resting here was carefully drawn in black gothic type letters, each dripping red: “Horror.” Hanging by a piece of tape off every other shelf were letter-sized flyers exactly like the ones that man was putting on windshields out at the Farm and Fleet. I peeled one off to get a closer look.

"Elias, she’s so hungry." "She’s gone, Clara! That isn't her!" I shouted, though I wasn't sure who I was trying to convince. That was three nights ago. Since then, the haunting has turned aggressive. We tried to sleep in the living room, but the smell followed us—the cloying, sweet scent of lilies mixed with something sour and metallic. We found tiny, damp handprints on the glass of the television. They weren't made of dirt. They were gray, smudged traces of something that looked like ash and formaldehyde.

She was astonished, petrified and froze like a carved stone. Elise dusted off her hands and smiled at Zadi. “Well, that’s it. Thank you for the suggestion, Zadi. Now, what’s next?” “Take a look at that bound thing. There’s something nagging me that we can use it,” Zadi said thoughtfully. Her eyes fixed on that bound thing on the altar. They both sauntered closer to the altar. Elise took out the papyrus roll inside the transparent cloth. “What’s this?” she asked Zadi. The pygmy peered at it with her jaw dropped down. “What is it, Zadi?” she asked again at the silent woman.

Xavier found a news article dated thirty years ago." Xavier announced. Everyone gathered around him, except for Landon. "Young boy found dead at the boy's locker room?" Olga read title of the headline.

It simply disintegrated, then reappeared back in the car. “Sick bastard,” I spat. He'd been stalking me. I tore a slim black book from the rat pile. Book of Psychopomps was etched on it in gold ink. Numbers, emails, and old-fashioned addresses accompanied names, written in no apparent order. I rifled through the pages: “Old farts: ODIN, MORRIGAN, YAMA, HERMES....” and “New pests: ANAESTHESIA, AIDS, SANTA MUERTE...” A red ribbon marked a page at the back. “Accessories: SHANNON PARKER.”

I apologize that this book is really short with less than 30k words in all. I plan to edit it at some point and make it better. I figured that a really long Horror book might be less interesting and would just seem drawn out. I've not read a lot of them but I watch horror movies so I wrote this like I would picture an Horror movie. I appreciate all those who stuck with me and read Reincarnation regardless. Thank you all. After saying this, I would love and appreciate your feedbacks and things to watch out for when I do edit the book. It would be really helpful and appreciated.
