Fear clawed at her chest, but she refused to surrender.
Gathering every ounce of courage she possessed, she lunged forward again. The paper was so close now, almost within her grasp. As she strained, something else stirred tiny legs skittered across her skin. Dozens of small insects crawled over her arm, their movements frantic and repulsive. She bit back a scream.
