Then they took shape—figures emerging, their movements stiff, unnatural. Puppets. Dozens of them, filling every corner of the chamber, their faces expressionless, their empty eyes locked onto us. Some bore weapons, others moved with eerie precision, their limbs jerking into position as if waiting for the command to strike. And behind them, Harper’s subordinates emerged—hooded figures, their auras pulsing with dark energy.
