Then, out of some masochistic curiosity he couldn’t name, clicked on the search bar and typed: ‘Vampires real abilities myths’ He paused, finger trembling over Enter. His reflection stared back from the dark glass, his eyes were hollow, skin skin—stretched tight, mouth slack. He looked like he’d seen a ghost. Just like Emma had said. The words echoed in his head: “You look like you saw a ghost.” He swallowed. Clicked search. The results flooded in—Wikipedia pages, Reddit threads, occult forums, clickbait articles. He scrolled fast, his heart thudding louder with every line he read.

"The problem, Sophie, is that you have the chance of changing what will happen in the future if you tell us what you know. Like I said, I can tell a dozen stories. You need to give me a reason why I should run your story over any other, or why I should even run it at all. There are millions of humans every day who pretend to be vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings. They dress up, wear fangs, and some even drink blood. All over the internet, people claim they’ve seen vampires, know demons, or are werewolves. Why is that?"

Am I right? ‘Well it doesn’t matter now, does it? He isn’t sixteen anymore.’ ‘Oh I am right. Now let me tell you how sorry you will be. Forget about just the campus knowing, how about I write a little essay on social media? Slowly… slowly… Until it stood right above her head. Anusha froze with fear. She turned her head slightly— There was no one in the room. But on the wall… the shadow stood. And then— The shadow’s head moved close to her ear and whispered— “I have come…” Her eyes widened. The next second, the lamp went out. The room plunged into darkness. And someone grabbed her shoulder— Cold… icy… not human at all. Anusha screamed and fainted. When she woke up in the morning, the guest house was normal.

"Reading novels seems better!" A profound silence reigned in the downstairs room where Miranda stayed, broken only by the rhythmic cadence of her breathing as she sat on the wide bed, propped up against soft pillows, a famous horror novel open in her hands. The words danced before her eyes under the warm glow of the golden bedside lamp, drawing her deeper and deeper into their dark worlds, until it seemed as if she were slipping into her haunted depths.

I asked her curiously as I sat comfortably on her couch and the three of them sat on the big one adjacent to mine. "Well, I believe that there's nothing to be scared of. The ghosts, vampires, witches, and werewolves are just in the books. Right? Fiction. Not real." My oblivious girlfriend explained, and that made the three of us, supermarket beings, look at each other. If you just knew, Pryce. None of us here is purely human. "Uh, yeah, yeah. They're just in the books. Horror books. They are a product of one's creative minds… and to scare people." Sander agreed with her best friend.
