I hope I do not end up screaming so loudly that my baby decides to make an early entrance into the world. I have always preferred romance novels over any other genre. There is something comforting about them, even if they do not always reflect reality. Horror, on the other hand, fills me with dread. It gives me a wild imagination, and I often end up with nightmares after reading or watching anything scary. I remember the times in school when my roommates would roll their eyes at me during horror movies because I could not stop screaming. Now that I knew of the author, it was time to see the content. I pulled over off the road and stopped the car. The visibility of the storm had increased, making it impossible for me to continue driving safely. So, instead, I opened the journal and started reading. My eyes skimmed the words, keeping in mind that I was potentially reading from the perspective of an unreliable narrator. And soon enough, I found myself enraptured by the scenes they were depicting. Human on human wars, pacts between humans and supernatural beings, werewolves, Kindred…Human Hunters.

: --- The rain tapped lightly against the windows of the old library as Anna flipped through the yellowed pages of an urban legends book. The room was dimly lit, the overhead light flickering occasionally, casting eerie shadows across the table. Her best friend, Mia, leaned over her shoulder, eyes wide with curiosity. “Why are you always digging into creepy stuff?” Mia asked, half-laughing, half-nervous. Anna shrugged, brushing her curly black hair out of her face. “I like stories that make your skin crawl. Look at this one,” she said, pointing to the faded text on the page.

Lady Tatya lounged about in her chambers, reading a horror novel. This was one of her favorite genres. She loved the thrills, the twists, the terrifying reality that burst through the pages. But most of all, she loved the creativity. So many ways to die, so many ways to make someone fall on their own sword. Tatya turned the page with such vigor, she almost ripped it. Yes, this was the moment in the story where the characters were cornered and trapped by the monster, the monster that had a million ways to torture them. Skinning, drowning, beheading… all wonderful ways to cause someone’s death.

Heather screamed as the dreaded liquid entered her mouth, and she puked. Gathering her energy, she called for the intruder. “Who is there?” The footsteps rushed on the floor above her. Heather heard them clearly. She opted to analyze where they went. ‘Was someone conspiring to kill her?’ She mused. Eager to find the culprit, she signed her fear away for the night and ambled ahead into the harrowing tragedy awaiting her. The sky thundered, but Heather kept going forward with short and hesitant steps, her maxi dress flew with the breeze. Holding the sides in her fists, she continued her mission to search for the terror that surrounded the mansion. She scrutinized every nook and corner. Her hea

People are loving the romance more than the horror, but the horror is getting some love as well. And this story is for anyone who loves reading. Obviously, this story is not for everyone. It's not for kids, it's not for anyone who can't handle disturbing content, and there are lot of stuff that will offend people. If I offended you in anyway with this story, then I apologize. I didn't mean to hurt you or write something harmful. It's just a story I wanted to tell to the world.
