Madeline’s POV I sit at the edge of the stream with my knees drawn to my chest. I'm covered in blood that's not mine. My hands are red and my fingers are shaking uncontrollably like they still want to hurt something. There’s blood on my shoes, too. I bury my face in my arms. And I cry. I cry si hard my body shakes and the sky cries with me. The rain pours and falls on me as if washing whatever stain I have.

Tears streamed down my cheeks when I saw the wide red patch on the front of my dress and the trickle of blood down my legs. "My baby, Tracy. I can't lose my baby,," I sobbed, trying and failing to bury my face in my hands. If it weren't broad daylight, I would have thought I was trapped in a nightmare. Everything felt like a scene from a horror movie. The blood that flowed down from my legs started to darken and continued in a sticky texture that began to irritate my skin.

This had to be another one of her games, another cruel trick meant to draw me back in. I called out to her again, but she did not move. There was no response, no mocking smile, and no cutting remark, only silence. I held my breath as my eyes adjusted, forcing me to look closer… And that was when I saw it…a dark pool of blood was spreading beneath her head. No… no… no. My head moved from side to side as I refused to accept what I was seeing. "This can’t be happening.” The words slipped from my lips as I stepped back into the room and shut the door behind me.

That I was stupid enough to believe the lies of a damn beast who I fell in love with years ago and still couldn’t stop thinking about even after all this time … I sank into one of the chairs as bloody tears started to creep out of my eyes. I was the only vampire who didn’t cry normal tears. Even my dad cried normal tears. I saw it the day my grandfather and uncle were buried. But when I cried, it was blood. I was actually crying out a part of my damn life force. When I cried, our entire coven cried with me. It was as if my tears affected all of them in such a way that a somber feeling fell over the entire kingdom. I had only cried once since I changed, and after seeing the devastation it cau

His voice squeaked and cracked with a coldness felt around the lump in his throat while his knees quaked uncontrollably as a result of blood loss. "Michael, hey honey, I love you." His wife whispered with a repressed mourning within her breath. Her eyes were already dimming due to accumulated blood which gathered around the vitreous humor in her eyes, causing a change in her sclera and her cornea to be very reddish with blood.

I cried with sarcasm. "Zee..." I gulped. Should I stop breathing air? Should I let my tears block the passageway to stop my lungs from functioning and eventually my heartbeat? "I...can't believe that every time I will stare at you...I would remember my brother, knowing it was you the reason...don't you know how much it hurts?" I bit my close fits until I sipped blood. I couldn't stop the tears that I had to pull my hair, hit my head...and uh!

I rip my shirt open and I see water rolling down my body as if it's a hot summer's day. Something catches my eye. My veins start turning black , and like almost black blood begins to flow up to my arms. Standing up , I limp to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. The pain begins to double and triple - I hold onto the sink. The black blood or substance travels through every vein in my body, even the eye vein - turning the whites of my eyes black. I feel it flow as it leaves a trail of pain behind. My teeth begin to hurt and I begin to loose conciousness as the pain becomes unbearable.

A large amount of red fluid started trickling from the large cut. I tearfully wiped the blood off my clothes. The red blood creating a ghastly contrast with the smooth white robe. "How can I be so unlucky?" With gritted teeth, I quickly pulled the piece of glass and throw it away. It was very painful! Fresh batch of blood flows from my wound. Tears started falling down my cheeks. My heart is beating too fast, its making me hard to breathe. Without bandaging my hand, I gritted my teeth to endure the pain, quickly grab my purse, and search for the bottle of medicine.

My screams grow louder, filling the silence, as my heart pounds ferociously in my chest. My throat burns from the tears and the raw screams that escape me, and in that moment, I realize I have more tears inside me than words to express my pain. So, I cry. I cry until my eyes feel heavy and no more tears can flow. I’m not just crying for Richie; I’m crying for myself, for my dad, and for every single thing that has been weighing heavily on my heart. Each sob feels like a release, an acknowledgment of the struggles I’ve been facing, and I allow myself to feel every bit of it.
