The Rise Of The White Luna

The Rise Of The White Luna

she finally said. I looked at her with a puzzled expression. Clearly, I didn’t understand what she meant. “What do you mean, huh?” I asked. She calmed down and explained. “I mean, you could write him a letter—greet him, pour out your thoughts, and say whatever you feel.” It sounded like a good idea. “But how would the letter get to him?” I asked, already warming to the suggestion. “Well, my lady, we’d send a dispatch rider—one of the youths around here could deliver it on our behalf.”

Alpha’s Blind Mate

I sighed heavily as I reached for the new whiskey bottle in my cupboard. I brought out two glasses from the cupboard and filled them with whiskey. I gave one to Gertrude and took one for myself. The maiden I ordered to get me the letter had just returned. She dropped the letter on my desk and left. I snatched the letter from the table and decided to read it myself.

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

Boxes were stacked against the walls, labeled in her mother’s neat, slanted handwriting. Cassie pulled one down at random. Inside were old photographs, newspaper clippings, and greeting cards. She flipped through them with care, smiling at some, frowning at others. Then she noticed a smaller, shoebox-sized container tucked behind a stack of books. She opened it-and froze. Inside were letters. Dozens of them. Each one addressed to her, but none had ever been sent. Her hands trembled as she picked one up and unfolded it. Dear Cassie,

Sideways glances that held more honesty than entire conversations used to. Ava had grown used to waiting for the other shoe to drop. Her whole life had been structured around it expecting the unraveling, the disappointment, the apology that came too late or not at all. So when she walked into the sunroom and saw the white envelope resting on the table beside a steaming cup of her favorite tea, she braced herself. Grayson wasn’t in the room. Just the letter. Folded once. Heavy, somehow, even in its stillness. Her name was written across the front. Not “Ava.” Not “Mrs. Wolfe.”

The Alpha's Forced Luna

The Alpha's Forced Luna

Clara slid the pouch of gold toward them. "You only need to say you did." The older servant swallowed hard. "And if someone asks where the letters are?" Clara laughed quietly. "They'll never ask." "People prefer gossip over proof." Slowly... The servants reached for the gold. By the following afternoon... The rumors had changed again. "I heard Luna Alina writes to Marcus every week." "My cousin works in the messenger's office." "He said letters have been leaving the mansion." "They're using coded messages." Each person added something new.

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

Emma Caldwell had always considered herself a fairly ordinary woman. She had an ordinary job as a librarian in the town of Willow Creek, an ordinary apartment filled with secondhand furniture, and an extraordinarily meddlesome cat named Sir Whiskers. But on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, as Emma rummaged through her mail, she discovered something that would change her life forever: a letter sealed with crimson wax, addressed to her in elegant calligraphy.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

There was a ring with her and Wilfred's initials engraved on the back, several books—all published by Whitney—and a letter of recommendation for studying abroad. Whitney glanced at the back. It was filled with just three words: "I am sorry." Unable to hold back tears any longer, Whitney let them flow. "You apologize to me, but you gave up your future for that person! You silly child, so foolish!" After composing herself for a moment, she continued to flip through. Underneath these items lay a stack of handwritten manuscripts. Whitney was puzzled as she took the thick stack out...

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

AN ANGEL FOR THE MAFIA

AN ANGEL FOR THE MAFIA

She asked again, trying to affirm that what she heard was correct. “Yes Ma’am. You have a letter. A young lady dressed in a blue gown brought it. But she didn’t give me her name ma’am. I’m sorry.” “And ma’am, thank you so much for not ratting me out about the person that followed you home ma’am.” But Cordelia had already zoomed up to her apartment with the cheetahs speed, she didn’t even wait to hear what he was saying. Immediately she got up, she lifted up her doormat, to check the letter.

But no: for then he would win, and though her pride had been all but extinguished, she would not give Andile Xakatha the satisfaction of knowing just how much suffering he had caused her. ‘‘Oh, but I nearly forgot,’’ Nonzame said suddenly, straightening and dropping the duster to the floor. ‘‘You have a letter! Where is that blasted thing…’’ She rummaged in the pockets of her apron, while Liziwe winced as spools of thread, a pair of scissors, and a myriad of thimbles came tumbling out, attended at long last by a somewhat crumpled, floury letter. She really is a terrible maid, Liziwe thought, but at the very least she is another soul in this wretched household, and for that I must be grateful

The Last Full Moon

The Last Full Moon

They were abandoned, stripped off of their possession and sent to leave in a desolate part of London where there was little food and water, enough food and water to keep them alive until a final decision was made. There are some positions in life that are at once mischievous and terrible; the two elements further leading to chaos may drive a sane person to irrationality. The long letter to Mary Shoelace, Elizabeth Blackwheel's mother was written in two desperate minutes. In the shame of admitting that her mother was right, she wrote a symbol of unity only common to them, at the beginning of the letter, before asking her most trusted servant to deliver the letter as soon as possible.
