Levi got out first, walking around to her side and opening her door. "C’mon," he said, his tone casual, like this wasn’t a big deal. Kat hesitated, her chest tightening as she looked at the café’s worn brick façade and the giant tree out front. This was where they’d had their last date—five years ago. Where everything had ended before it even really began.

My mom reached home four hours before the zombie outbreak. "Oh, my goodness! Sweetheart, this is just one party, right? Why did you buy so much food?" Mom asked in a shocked tone as she stared at the food and water that had already taken over the living room. I hadn't seen my mother for three long years. In my previous life, I had traversed through half the city just to reach her home, only to see a puddle of blood marring her floors. It was only natural for me to rush over and pull her into a tight hug before planting kisses all over her cheeks.

He smirked devilishly and held the bracelet before pulling it off harshly causing it to break. My eyes widened when I saw it broken. "Now, you want it still huh?" He smirked and throw it through the tall grass, I didn't even saw where it fell. I felt that pang on my chest, it's heavy... And it's hurting too much. My sight started to blur when tears filled my eyes, but I immediately wiped it off, memories of myself with my family back then came flashing to my mind as if it only happened yesterday. But my parents died five years ago already.

Claire whispered with a soft smile as tears welled up in her eyes, "I'm scared. I'm afraid to think that my life will always be this happy." "You will always be happy, I promise," Alex replied earnestly. "Do you promise never to leave me? I'm too afraid of losing you. My worst nightmares are when you leave me alone. I don't know what to do without you." Claire sobbed, causing Alex to stop playing and turn to embrace her. "Claire," Alex whispered softly, feeling the warmth of Claire's body. "I promise never to leave you. I promise I will always be here for you." Alex took a deep breath and gathered the courage to continue, "Until death do us part."

While having their coffee, Echo received a message from his mother," Honey, where are you? I am already done?" "Please excuse me, I need to call my Mom," he said to Maria. "Yes, please you may," she said. 'I am just here at the Starbucks Mom. I'll just finish my cup and I'll fetch you okay," he called and told his mother. "No, I want to have a cup of mine too. Can you order me Hot Macadamia and blueberry cheesecake, please? I'll be coming over," she said.

I will never see her smiley face. I lost MUM forever........ Forever.....

"Oh Lord! It feels like it's been years, since I saw you here.” “I missed you." I said as she replied chuckling. "I missed you more, love. So, how are you?" "Been good." I knew she’d get me, even when the words were limited. It was the level of comfort and connection, I shared with her, that was beyond words.
