“If I had literally anything flammable or explosive—”
“You don’t,” Corin snaps flatly, back to the wall, blade useless without space. But her eyes flick to Seren. Always to Seren. Seren sits cross-legged on the dungeon floor, unbothered by chains, eyes unfocused. She sways slightly, like she’s listening to music no one else can hear.
“The flame bends,” she murmurs dreamily. “The shadow coils. One queen breaks the world, one burns it clean.”
I freeze. “What did you say?” I demand.
