Married by Fate, Broken by Love
Leo skidded across the kitchen floor and grabbed the edge of the counter, breathing hard but grinning like he had just completed an Olympic race.
“Guess what!”
“What?” I asked, pouring orange juice into his cup. He leaned forward conspiratorially, lowering his voice in dramatic secrecy.
“I had a dream about Dylan.” I blinked.
“You did?” Leo nodded vigorously, climbing onto the tall kitchen stool beside the counter.
“In the dream he had a giant house,” he explained, waving his hands as if trying to show the size of it,
“And there was this robot dog that followed him everywhere.”
“A robot dog?” I repeated, raising an eyebrow.
