He staggered, flickering, but stood again almost instantly.
Astraen raised his hand—and the marsh lit up. Dozens of tiny white sparks appeared around him, swirling like constellations pulled from the sky.
Cael’s eyes widened. “He’s summoning starlight—Lyra, move!”
The starlight burst outward in an explosive wave. Lyra threw herself down just as a blazing arc ripped through the fog, slamming into the Shadehunter and tearing chunks of shadow from its form.
The creature staggered, its outline glitching like broken glass reforming itself.
