Just another one of his dry, stupid jokes—something about his dinner being so terrible he was convinced the restaurant was trying to assassinate him with undercooked chicken. He'd probably attached one of those ridiculous GIFs he was always finding, something animated and silly that was meant to make me laugh.

That's, absurdity to the highest degree! Irresistible my rotten shit! "It's just amusing how distinct you seem right now. Did you win a jackpot or something?" I give him that. I just feel like I need to play within the margins of his imbecility to soothe his ego. But damn! His hoax has imprinted a perpetual smirk on my face that I am unable to cloak. I can't brush it off even by taking my gazes off him. I guess this is the most humorous thing I have ever heard of.

I muttered, “if I wanted you dead, I wouldn’t poison you. I’d shoot you instead.” Their mouths dropped open, and I realized too late that I shouldn’t be joking about something like that. A nervous laugh fell from my lips. “I—I was only joking. You’d be able to smell poison from a mile away, and I know you’ll get the gun away from me within seconds.” Devrim was the first to break the silence. “You humans have a sick sense of humour. I don’t really see what’s so funny in what you said.” “I’m sorry.”

Liam had an uncanny ability to infuse laughter and light-heartedness into any situation. His jokes, witty remarks, and playful banter seemed to dissolve the weariness of the physical work we were engaged in. At this point, Harlow was highly tempted to grab her shoe and throw it at him until he stopped laughing all of a sudden. A seriousness overwhelmed his humourous side that lingered on his face for a good couple of seconds.
