Death Wolf
Black blood splattered the earth as Heratte choked, her eyes widening, her body jerking violently as the Death Wolf’s hand speared right through her chest.
The dagger fell from her grasp, useless, forgotten.
She gasped—once, twice—before her lips curled, her final breath slipping past in something almost like a smile.
“Perhaps,” she whispered, blood trickling from her lips, “I was always meant to lose to you…Than…”
Death’s eyes don’t soften, if anything, he pulls back his hand to have her frame drop back on the ground with a thud.
And with that, the darkness in her eyes faded, swallowed by the abyss.
