Hello and Happy Summer to Everyone!! The sequel to "The Hunt" is called "The Dragon's Treasure" and it is being posted one chapter at a time on the web app here on Good Novel! (The first chapter will post this afternoon - June 14, 2022) You won't be able to find the book on the mobile version for a few months yet (it has to go through approval and I don't want to make it pay to read quite yet as I work through the story development and editing phases).

Curious, I reach for it and brush it off. "Ooh," I gasp. It's not a book about werewolves. It's a hunter’s manual. Frowning, I flip through the pages and notice it’s is filled with gruesome details of how to hunt werewolves, how to kill them, and how to torture them. I glance up at Lucian, arching my brow. "Why would your parents have a book about werewolf hunters?" I ask, thumbing through more of the horrifying pages. Lucian lifts his head briefly to look at me, then lowers it back down to the stack of papers he’s sifting through.

I know you heard me. 'Yes, I heard it.' I said to him. 'I am now reading the book I got from the restricted section of the library. There is something about this book, titled The 12 Sinners: The Demon's Souls. I think there is something here we can use to defeat them. Who knows, I will start here. Just enjoy them first, dude.' I heard Hunter's voice in my head. He is talking to me. I nodded my head even though he couldn't see me.

Zeke called down. I climbed back up. “There’s a chest and this weird book, I don’t know. But nothing is in the book.” “The cover says Ghost Stories.” Wyatt pointed out. I swear the cover was blank before. I sighed and handed it off to Hunter. “It must be enchanted or something.” Hunter opened the book. “Who is Captain Rowell ‘The Cruel” Swale?” “I don’t know,” I answered. “Why?” “There’s a story in here about him.”

It's supposed to, but I’m still deeply troubled with sleepless nights. Killing them didn't bring Leah back, I knew it was never going to, however, her killers didn't deserve to live either. “Come in” I knew Hunter was going to find me anytime soon and he just came knocking immediately. “Hey,” “Hey” I dropped the book I had grabbed from the shelf to read to tend to Hunter. Once I grab one of those books, I never take my attention off them easily. “What are you up to?” He grabbed a seat.

Hunter enters the room and sees June sitting on the bed surrounded by books. She looked up at him and sat up. "It's a good thing you're back. I have some questions." He began unbuttoning his coat and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Go ahead. Ask away." "I want to know about werewolves. You stopped me from picking out that book in the library, and I want to know why." Hunter froze and tilted his head back a bit, looking down his nose at the floor. He slid off his coat and hung it up, its royal blue almost distracting June from keeping eye contact.

Connie smiled and filled me with hope by saying: “Th… that’s ri… right, Da… Damy, sh… she’s worth it. If y… you n… need to crawl, do wh… what y… you ha… have to do, man.” Almost two in the morning and I can’t sleep, apparently someone else is up too. When I get to the living room, Hunter is sitting on the couch reading one of the sugary romances he loves so much. Go figure my brother! The guy is like a war tank and is in love with erotic novels, flowers and chick flicks. He looks at me from up his glasses and he sinks the knife without pity.

Tommy clears his throat getting my attention “ I’m just confused. I mumbled typing out what Andrew explained “ I can tell by your eyebrows scrunched together. Hunter and Andrew weren’t a part of the organization. Alora doesn’t even know that Hunter is a part of our pack. Now I know that sounds bad but they don’t have the greatest past. But that’s for another time when Hunter wants to tell you.” He finished. I paused for a moment tapping my fingers on the desk. I don’t why but I have this weird feeling that I have something that could help this situation but I can’t put my finger on it. Her eyes lit up as she saw them. "Yes, they are. Do you read those kinds of books?" Hunter asked, glancing at the books and then at Aleah’s reaction. He had never seen such enthusiasm before. Then again, he wasn't the kind of person who enjoyed socializing. Perhaps that's why he was known as a master tactician and strategist—because of his solitary nature. He spent more time at the camp than at his own home. He didn't have many friends outside the Astral Guardian Camp and was probably closer to his guns than to people.
