I didn’t have to crawl far because I was close enough to touch the hunter holding the sword. My body had shifted back due to the amount of damage I took, but I was still able to force my nails to harden due to my extreme rage. I grabbed the leg of the hunter holding the sword and my nails, no claws, dug into his flesh. There was a loud bang as the hunter screamed. I handled him downwards with as much force as I could muster. I may have been extremely weak, but I fancied that I was still strong enough to pull down a human.

ARIA Whispers echo through the wall, every eye in the hall solely focused on me. I can hear the voices questioning my identity. “Reveal your claws, Hailey Randle.” His voice deepens in command. Following the direction of my sight, he shifts his feral gaze to my plain, transparent nails.

I roll him onto his stomach with trembling hands. The moment I see his back, a gasp slips out of me. Deep, inflamed nail marks are glowing an unnatural, sickly violet. She had managed to find a way in through a rotten looking hole in the wall, that looked like it had been caused by storm damage. It hadn't quite been big enough and she had scraped a long line of skin off of her shoulder where she had caught it on a piece of protruding splintered wall panel. There was also a very strong possibility that said piece of panel had a few rusty nails sticking out of it, so a tetanus shot might be in order after this assignment was complete.

I looked at Damien as my lips curved into a smile. I quickly transformed into my wolf's form as the seer emerged further to perform the rituals. I cut my left palm open and allowed the blood flow freely from my hands down to the locks of the chest. Silence spread throughout the crowd, and if a single pin had dropped at that moment, it would've been loud enough for everyone to hear. The chest immediately made a sharp cracking sound and a rabbled sound came from the crowd as the chest immediately cracked open.
