The Smirnovs held the outer perimeter, and the Zakharovs swept the side wings. Inside, in the main hall, the Demidov leaders were cornered. Four of them, men and women dressed in crimson attire, their eyes burning with an artificial red glow. They trembled, surrounded by their guards. But these were not ordinary guards. From the shadows emerged the hybrids. Four monstrosities, half lycan, half demon, their skin marked with burned symbols, eyes black as glowing coal. They positioned themselves in front of the Demidovs, growling and spitting black smoke.

“So... that’s why... you took me from the very start?” "Yes. You are... special. And I have come to a conclusion that only your wolf can free the curse. Because..." She hesitated, something off in her expression. "Because of what?" I demanded, my voice trembling with barely contained frustration. "Um... yeah. Because there’s witch blood within you." "I... what?" "You're a hybrid. A rare creature. And I need your wolf to be sacrificed in order to keep Ragnor alive!" Luna Dowager’s eyes turned red in an instant, as I limped toward her.

“Then what are you saying? How would the Twins meet their ends?"
