The professor gave me the highest score. I often studied by myself in the library. My love for reading never subsided. I read a book pertaining to the Moon Goddess and her origin, including the history of the werewolves. She isn't an inhabitant of this world but she can set foot here by a proxy or vessel. An unfinished spell was included in this book, so I copied it into my spellbook. Werewolves have four breeds; white, black, red, and gold. White and black propagated gray wolves. Throughout the generations of their existence, breeds multiplied including the adopted children of the Moon Goddess which is called Hybrid—a half-werewolf and half-human.

She was another wolf with and interesting hair pattern, a mix of deep and redish browns. "You weren't half bad yourself" I replied. "Yeah, I almost got the pin the tail on the wolf game back up and running by substituting the tail with a saftey pin I had on me and a bunch of leaves." "Innovative" I remarked. Was a Luna supposed to be innovative? My mom hadn't mentioned that one. "Yes, well it only lasted one round before the pups thought it made the wolf look like it was pooping and they spent the rest of the time rolling around laughting until they cried."

I knew nothing about these creatures. I looked back down at my file. Names, creature types, hybrid classifications. I couldn't help but notice that even though every one of the recruits was a Dark Hounder, most of them were hybrids. A mix of pure wolves and other species—wolf-fae, lycan-wolf, sorcerer-wolf, vampire-wolf etc. The range of it surprised me. Dark Hound seemed far more open to interspecies relationships than Silver Moon, which obsessed over pure blood and treated outsiders, especially humans, like dirt. And yet Dark Hound, with all its brutality and reputation, was clearly more advanced and stronger.

The most powerful and common types of hybrid are Vampire/Werewolf hybrids. Hybrids are a cross-breed of two or more different supernatural species. The term is commonly used to describe a werewolf turned into a vampire due to the fact that they were the first supernatural hybrid to be introduced. However, since the werewolf-vampire hybrid's creation, there have been other cross-breed hybrids revealed in the universe, such as Siphoner turned witch-vampire hybrids, werewolf-witch hybrids, and, in the unique case of Hope Mikaelson, a witch-werewolf-vampire tribrid.

Some fox and wolf hybrids, some witch and vampire hybrids and many more, with many different combinations.
