Gina said, as the contents of the pot hit her nose, oats. “Hybrids are any were-animal, like a lycan; that turned vampire by drinking a vampire to death. They still have a heart though and like you, they can exist day or night, eat food and choose to sleep or not. However, they cannot use their vampirism in daylight, or it will burn their flesh,” Prince Mano explained, standing up, and dishing up some oats.

“He had pulled stunts like that before. He mostly had me do things for him because I'm a hybrid." I took a sharp breath… my mouth was agape, continually staying that way. Hybrids were not purebreds; they were half-breeds or mixed breeds, and finding hybrids was quite a rarity. But just like the omegas or a pack member whose shift came later than usual, they are viewed as the underdogs. They are treated poorly and subjected to various forms of abuse.

Her entire outfit was skin tight, complimenting all the places on her body that had filled out. I had to refrain from licking my lips and making her angrier than she already was. Most of all, I loved the way her blue eyes stood out against her pale but darkened skin. Elodie was mixed. Her father, white, and her mother, black. Her usually curly hair was straightened down her back. She was gorgeous. Truly a sight to behold.

Maria was at his side, her face pale but composed. “What’s the latest?” Nathaniel demanded, his Alpha voice silencing the murmurs. Elder Fenwick, the only one I trusted completely, stepped forward. “Our scouts confirm at least five clusters of Hybrids in the northern hills. They’re forming a crescent shape—like they’re trying to encircle us.” “Encircle…” I whispered, eyes narrowing. “Or trap us.” Fenwick nodded. “We think the same.” “Do we know what kind of magic they’re using?” I asked.

The one on the right continued. "As for Hybrids, they are a cross-breed of two or more different supernatural species. It can be a werewolf turned into a vampire or a ........." "We get it," I answered cutting him off. "We apologize." The one on the left said in a respectful tone. "Well, I think she's neither of those," Landon said in a disappointed tone as I nodded. I too felt the same way. "Pardon me alphas. But may I know who you are talking about?" The one on the right side asked.

“There’s no such thing as hybrids. I mean, the Tromara used to take from different supernatural types and mix them together, but—” “I’m not talking about them. True hybrids exist, Elara. Natural-born ones.” Xavier cocked his head. “Let’s take an example of a witch and a vampire having a child. Usually, the dominant DNA will determine the child to be either a witch or a vampire—but not both. In, I’d say, ninety-nine-point-nine percent of such pairings, this is the case. But every so often, that point-one percent results in a hybrid—a child with two active supernatural DNA types all in one person. It’s a fluke. Rare. And according to 5th Circle, a danger to us all.”

“After some... persuasion, Ted admitted that Xac had been funding the Hybrid project. He personally trained some of the successful ones—took them under his wing. Said he wanted them as soldiers.” “Did Ted say where this operation is located?” I pressed. “He wasn’t certain, but he believed it was somewhere near Alaska. One of the hybrids was called there to join Xac’s team.” Alaska. Of course. “I should have known,” I muttered under my breath. Mac raised a brow. “What do you mean?” “Alaska is a hub for magic enhancers,” I explained, my mind racing. “With the right witches, hybrid power could be amplified tenfold. A shifter with magic wouldn’t stand a chance against them.”

She was someone Creed could look up to. Both of them logged out Odin Space. Creed spent the rest of the day to spend time with Hannah in the hospital. In the evening he teleported back to his room in Glitch. Tomorrow was the day when Creed had to go for the Collaborated hunt for the Alpha Hybrid. For some reason Green Boards had put a lid on the mission. The only things Creed knew about the mission was that it was the Alpha Hybrid that was somewhere in the north-west region of the outer region.

This is different. I stare at Jeremiah in disbelief, trying to process the words. “Hybrids,” I mutter, almost laughing at the absurdity of it. “That’s ridiculous. There hasn’t been a hybrid in centuries, and the last one... it’s a myth.” Jeremiah seems insistent, however. He continues, his voice quieter now, “Not just any kind of hybrid,” he adds. “The last and only hybrid with such a healing rate was Ravon Cage. His descendants—”

"Maybe the witch bloodline; she might have been a hybrid from the beginning, not an Omega. Witches possess the ability to partake in forbidden rituals with their deity, Hell, which bestows upon them extraordinary power. But there's a catch to having this power—there's always a trade-off. And that ritual is off-limits." Sheerin's words were so eye-roll-worthy, with the way she's so desperate to prove it. Because even though there aren't any obvious physical traits that would immediately reveal whether I'm an Omega or a hybrid witch, anyone would be able to easily tell just by looking at me if I'm a hybrid. Hybrids have this undeniable aura that's so unmistakable, just like Celeste and Amora h
