*Narrator* Something stirs in the underworld as a massive spike in demonic energy is felt throughout the castle corridors. One demon goes in search of the power spike and spies a young girl who can wield both demonic and witch like powers and he secretly wonders if she is who he's looking for. He follows her closely and watches her from a distance before losing her in a large crowd and returning to the underworld more frustrated than before. Luna’s POV:

They were vicious and filled the hearts of other wolf packs with fear. They were worshipped like gods and manipulated other wolves to do their bindings, they formed the association of the underworld, distinguishing the wolves from the humans, it was treacherous to have anything to do with the humans and it could cause a death sentence on anyone caught with a human. Great Lycan Silva was the first Lycan to be born and his birth was to be a salvation to all of the underworld… or not.

King yelled in a voice that sounded so strong and sure. Then a large clawed hand clutched at the portal in the floor. If I had a heart that still needed to beat, it would have stopped. The hand pulled itself up and out, and then tentacles waved from the portal, not touching my son but trying to climb out, trying to escape the Underworld. The Wraiths! If they escaped the Underworld, they would possess humans. They would possess all of us. Alexis raised his other hand and threw a stream of power at the Wraith, a devil dog as big as the largest Hybrid Wolf, its yellow eyes glaring hungrily as saliva dripped from its oversized teeth.

Elias had only glared; the cold stare he gave was more of an answer than any words could ever be. “What is it you want from me? If I remember correctly, I did not want the inclusion of the hybrid law in The Council’s creation; that was you.” “You cannot let them take her away from me,” Elias replied plainly. He skipped over Ife’s jeer. It was true that all those centuries ago, he had proposed the hybrid law. It was after the devastation of the wars, when witches and wolves had joined together to eradicate the vampires. When Elias had looked onto the battlefield and saw the combination of powers, he knew that such a creature should not exist again. At least, until he began collecting.

I said looking at my little brother who flinched but nodded, closing his eyes and using his mind to deliver the message to the human’s seer between the realms, it being his ability due to having a mother who was a seer. Yes, my siblings and I were brother and sister of the same father, but different mother, as father hadn’t found his mate, or at least that was what we were told, and had the maidens to please him a deliver his children, my mother was a werewolf, I was born a hybrid since I was not a child of a mating and my parents’ genes would not technically mix, each one of us was born a hybrid having half his mother’s traits and our father’s.

“So... that’s why... you took me from the very start?” "Yes. You are... special. And I have come to a conclusion that only your wolf can free the curse. Because..." She hesitated, something off in her expression. "Because of what?" I demanded, my voice trembling with barely contained frustration. "Um... yeah. Because there’s witch blood within you." "I... what?" "You're a hybrid. A rare creature. And I need your wolf to be sacrificed in order to keep Ragnor alive!" Luna Dowager’s eyes turned red in an instant, as I limped toward her.

To our left, ancient olive trees stood like gnarled sentinels and their leaves seemed to reflect the silvery moonlight. We got closer to the gates and Miguel slowed his pace. He didn't look at me, his gaze was fixed on the security cameras nestled in the stone pillars ahead and his voice took on different weight. "Forget everything you think you know about street thugs and back-alley deals, Alejandro," Miguel said softly. I could not help but process what he must have meant by that. As Carlos were about to mount on his horse, an arrow was hurled in his direction and he was swift to duck. We looked in the direction at which it was thrown and we were shocked to see three huge men with a cross mark on their forehead. We knew they were hybrids because that mark was an identification for them. They were hefty, muscular and as tall as giants. Their faces were scary and they looked aggressive as their teeth jolted out in their mouth. We knew these hybrids were part werewolves, part vampires. They are known for their strength and desire for power. They never had businesses with werewolves and Lycans but I wondered why these ones in particular were trying to attack us.

“He had pulled stunts like that before. He mostly had me do things for him because I'm a hybrid." I took a sharp breath… my mouth was agape, continually staying that way. Hybrids were not purebreds; they were half-breeds or mixed breeds, and finding hybrids was quite a rarity. But just like the omegas or a pack member whose shift came later than usual, they are viewed as the underdogs. They are treated poorly and subjected to various forms of abuse.
