Alec spoke, holding up the book, before handing it back to me. I read it more thoroughly and froze. We had almost doomed ourselves. Turning, I faced the crowd and Zeeb. I read from the book, “Hybrids are considered gifts from the Gods and Goddesses. Only mates who are mixed species and who have a blessing from both the Moon Goddess and the non-Wolf mate’s deity can have children. Which is why there have been so few reports throughout history, and only packs who are worthy of said blessings are chosen,” I paused, looking at Zeeb, who had his jaw set, refusing to acknowledge what I had said. “Anyone could have written that book.” He defended.

She stopped, looking up at the seven years old blonde haired boy who sat in front of her with curious eyes wanting to know more. “A Vampwolf?” He arched his brows. She hummed a positive response. “Are you sure you want to read a book like this, Dwayne?” “Yes mother. Please continue! Please continue!” He pestered. She heaved a sigh. “A Vampwolf. Half-Vampire...Half-Lycan. But stronger than both. A cross breed deadlier than any werewolf or vampire. Werewolf-Vampire hybrids are the mixture of a vampire and a werewolf. They possess the powers of both species, making them twice as powerful. And—“

Selene said, I kissed her to shut her up; the second I pulled away, I grabbed her face and smiled, “That was incredible!” I told her, “You really are a powerful witch.” Amber said, “A powerful witch with little control.” Grandfather told her, I stared at him for a moment, “What do you mean?” I asked, he sat us all down as he began to explain, “A half blood witch isn’t too powerful, but still enough to be a little scared of. A full blooded witch, if terrifying and is definitely someone to fear. But a hybrid,” he looked at Selene, “There’s never been a hybrid witch of all three: a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. Not to mention having witches in both bloodlines.”

My messenger said as he handed me the letter. I opened it and frowned at what I saw there. It just said Darren was joking and that is something I don't believe. Something is wrong. I would have waved it off without much care if it wasn't related to my hybrid power. Do you know what it means that someone has got the same hybrid powers as me? I desperately need to check on him; who knows, he could be related to my Lillian and the child I received. I said, I will be going there, but it won't be tomorrow. The next day after tomorrow, we will go to the Silver Moon Pack in disguise. I need to find out who that guy is by myself since Darren wants to keep it secret." I gruffed and he bowed.

I bite my lower lip and nod and she says, “I can’t give you any more information about her, but please if you are going to reject her then wait. She’s been through enough without the feeling of rejection.” I nod, “If I do then I’ll wait.” My wolf growls at me for even considering rejecting her, but… she’s a hybrid! I thought vampires were extinct, I don’t understand how she’s alive. I ask, “Is there anything I need to know about her being a hybrid? I’ve never met or even heard of hybrids before.”

I flipped through the book again and it was only filled with more and more gibberish until the last page. “Recent discovery has brought to light that the Delta pure blood is the strongest and most promising of all our experiments. However, even as she is powerful, she might not be the greatest threat for I fear the hybrid isn’t just a hybrid, not when he is capable of three personalities, an error of his birth. A tribrid perhaps?” A dark and scary feeling welled up in my guts as I gripped the book so tight, a part of it rips. I had a sudden epiphany and it all started to make sense.

The Alpha of the last pack I was in knew about it, and said it might have been because I was a Hybrid that I was able to shift before my 18th birthday. Bella then asked what a Hybrid was and I told her, “A hybrid is a shifter of 2 or more different species of shifter, there are many kinds of shifters in this world. Shifters can be Wolf, Dragon, Pixie, Fae, Fairy, Bear, Lion, Tiger, Jaguar, Swan, Eagle, Hawk, Leopard, Gryffin, Unicorn, Centar, Goose, Lycan, Fox, Coyote, etcetera. For example my mom is a Witch but she is also a Wolf shifter, and my dad is a Dragon shifter. So for myself, I have both the genes of Dragon and Wolf shifter in my DNA and I might get the dragon side, but I might not

I am a creature of both darkness and moonlight, a hybrid of two mythical beings, forever bound by the duality of my existence. But just as I begin to come to terms with this extraordinary revelation, my astonishment reaches new heights when I stumble upon another astonishing truth hidden within the depths of the letter.
