Maya’s POV I had been to N.Z. only once before and as I donned my clothes behind a cluster of trees, I was reminded of why I never liked the place. At every corner, surveillance cameras blinked red, and there was an irritating hum which never seemed to cease. I could already feel a headache forming. The General Mall was a hallmark of sorts and people usually had no problem finding it which I assumed was why Theo used it as a reference for finding our rendezvous café.

Liam asked. "Of Course, I would love to," I replied. Seeking permission from the king and Queen, I happily followed Liam into the human world. It was good having Liam back, I felt happy he had come to visit. He had become my friend. Suddenly an image of something struck my heart, I was shocked in fright. " Is anything wrong?" Liam said, looking at me with worry. " I don't know why but I feel I have been here before, " I said looking around. I had no idea why I felt this way. But the place seemed very familiar.

No ground I could trust, no sky I could see, just an endless stretch of something that felt alive, watching, waiting. And then it hit me. Recognition. Sharp. Immediate. Every memory from the last time I had been here slammed into me all at once. Not gently, no. They came like a flood breaking through a dam I didn’t know I had built. The voice. The pressure. The fear. My breath caught. “This is it…” I whispered, my voice barely steady. “Yes… this is it.” I had been here before. And this time. I wasn’t going to forget.

Because the way they said it— The way they looked at me— It wasn’t like they were meeting me for the first time. It was like— I had already been here before.

By the time dusk fell, I still hadn't run into Nick. So... maybe fate really wasn't on our side. I let out a bitter, self-deprecating smile. Just as I was about to hail a cab back to the hotel, something caught my eye—a theme park, not far away. Why did it feel so familiar? It was as if I'd been here before. Blurry fragments flashed through my mind, my parents taking me here, once upon a time. I rubbed my temples, trying to recall, but nothing solid came back.

I had a nagging feeling that this scene was familiar, that I had been here before, but I couldn't quite place it – I was confused, totally confused. Just as I was about to speak, a sharp pain exploded in my head, and suddenly everything came flooding back. I had been reborn, and this exact scene had happened before in my previous life. I let out a gasp and held my head, trying to process the overwhelming information that was now a part of my consciousness.

The time that I stepped on the border of the southeast pack, I suddenly felt familiar with this place. It seems like I was there before, but when I tried to analyze it, I couldn't tell when. I couldn't tell how it is even possible that I have felt familiar to the place that I hadn't even been before. “Are you alright?” My head turned to Dylan when he suddenly spoke behind my back. He may have noticed that I was not okay. “Nah, it's nothing, Dylan. Don't worry about it. So, where are we?”

“We’ve arrived.” Those words pulled me out of my thoughts and I realized that the car had stopped moving. As soon as the door got pulled open, I stepped out of it and ran my hands over my face because the onslaught of sunlight caused pain to shoot through my head. Perhaps I should have just headed back to the hotel I checked into a few days ago. I said to myself as I let my eyes trail over the large building standing right in front of me. I had been here just once, with Luca, months before my birthday.

Without hesitation, Toby wrapped an arm securely around my waist. His strength grounded me as we walked toward the entrance. The moment we stepped into the elevator, something inside me stirred. A strange sensation washed over me, I had been here before, I knew I had. The feeling disappeared almost as quickly as it came, leaving me grasping desperately for something I couldn't reach. "What is it?" Toby asked immediately. "I" I frowned. "I have done this before." and his eyes sharpened. "You remember?" I slowly shook my head, "No."
