One reached for the zipper of his trousers and one at the left started removing the cloth tied around his waist. I squeezed my eyes shut. Please. Please. Please. Somebody help me. I didn’t know if I said it out loud or only inside my head. “LILY!” My eyes flew open, the moment I heard my name from a distant , it was very distant but I was certain that I heard my name being called . .. “LILY!” Another voice came , it kept on going, It was Amber, Maltilda and Rex. They were calling me, My heart immediately came alive.

I let the sound pass through me without reaching for it. At some point the pain changed. It moved beyond screaming and became something thinner, emptier, more final. In that strange quiet, I saw a little girl. She could not have been more than three or four. Dark curls. Bare feet. She stood a few steps away in all that white light and looked at me with Enzo's eyes. "Mom," she said. I reached for her at once, but my arms felt heavy and slow. She smiled at me, sad and sweet and already leaving. "I can't stay."

Then, along with my second tear, I finally heard her voice—soft and fragile—calling my name. And she reached for my hand.

If she grabbed this on time and walked away like she walked in, no one would notice her. This was far from what she expected. She had thought more of a place filled with guards, filled with wolves protecting their pack from her since they all didn’t want her. But what did she meet, a yard free from everyone. She cut the flower with a smile on her face, bringing out the book her mum had torn for her and examining it if it was the same. She heaved a sigh of relief and was just about to leave when she heard someone call her name, “Arya…” she heard and her heart flew out of her heart.

She smiles as I start being dragged away by something I couldn't see. Just as I enter a black hole I hear her voice, "Her name is Zara."

And turned away walking faster. I just looked at her going away and didn’t stop her though I was curious to know what she wanted to say. But seeing that she was embarrassed enough in front of me, I didn't stop her from going away. I pushed my thoughts away and entered the library to get my book. I went in and stumbled on a book, picking it up; I read the name, The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves. “It must be Briar's.” I said to myself. I picked it up and took it away me, thinking I would give it when I would meet her next time we meet.

I could only imagine what could have led her to want to take her life. I was looking outside the window, my face to her, when I heard her call my name. At first, I thought it was just my imagination. I mean, I talked to myself in my car like there was another person there—hearing my name was just the tip of the iceberg. I didn’t take it seriously until she called again. “Damon,” she muttered quietly. Her voice was low and weak, but I could feel the seeping joy in it. I froze for a second.

Not through me. At me. “Can you hear me?” she asked. Her voice was calm. Not loud. Not sharp. I nodded slowly. “Yes.” My voice sounded weak. She crouched down in front of me. Not too close. But close enough. “What’s your name?” she asked. I hesitated. It felt strange. No one had asked me that since… I swallowed. “Lyra.” She nodded once. “Lyra,” she repeated softly. Like she was making sure she got it right.

I guessed that he was calling to urge me to apologize to Doris in the group chat again. I did not want to answer the call, but the phone rang over and over, as Luke called me over seven times. I was still in the pack cleaning up work, so he called the phone there and the phone was brought to me. "Alpha Luke’s on the line. Seems urgent," the guard said, handing me the phone. I took in a deep breath and reluctantly answered the call. "What is it?" I asked coldly. The moment I picked up the call, Luke's angry voice scolded me over the phone. Someone would have thought I was a servant taking orders.

I tried to call her name but it only ended up coming out as whisper. " Peace". I called again but she couldn't hear me, she sees she was looking like she was in deep thought. " Did she probably did it already?". My heart almost jumped off through my mouth at the thought of this. My ears dartred to her belly and I couldn't help but I couldn't hear but pray that noticed had happened to my child. As soon as I was close enough to her, I placed my hand on her shoulder as I called o t her name softly.
