“You don’t know real danger.” ‎ ‎I froze. ‎The words hit like cold water to the face. ‎ ‎“What?” ‎ ‎He stepped closer not threatening, but firm enough to make the air shift. ‎ ‎“You don’t know real danger,” he repeated, voice lower this time. “You think this is a game. You think you can run your mouth at anyone and walk away untouched. But the world doesn’t work like that.” ‎ ‎I stared at him, heat prickling behind my eyes.

he shot back with a scowl and downed the rest of his drink in one swig. "Danger?" I looked at him with a shocked expression. What could be so endangering about a simple subway? "Lucas, no one was in danger." "Like hell, they weren't." he got to his feet, and immediately I remembered how intimidating it was to be around him. "You could have simply called instead of putting yourself and the kids at such risk."

I replied with an 'I dare you to try' glare, trying to sound as dangerous as possible. Honestly, all I could do if he decided to grab me is hit him on the head and do what all the suckers in horror movies should have done when they saw the first sign. Run. He paused for a moment as if surprised before throwing his head back in laughter. I looked at him confused for a moment, actually enjoying the look on his face. His laughter died out and wiped the curious look on mine as he grinned, folding his arms, "you're a violent one aren't you?'

" I asked. Her eyes widened like saucers. She shook her head vehemently and raised her hands. "No," she said, making me roll my eyes. "If you like him, just go to him. I hear that danger will always bring out the natural instincts in people. And lo and behold," her blush intensified, making her face look like a tomato. She covered her eyes and smiled as she shook her head.

I tilted my head at him, grinning. "What if I AM the danger?" Al curved his lips, eyes fixed on mine. But there was a shred of sorrow in his eyes. "I'm not afraid of you! If I feel danger, I'll just push you off the cliff." I burst into laughter, leaning in with an evil grin. Al flinched nervously and I laughed even more. "I would survive. I'll aim at that reef triangle so I won't get lost in the turbulence." Al tugged the edge of his lips, brightened up a bit.

He asked. I nod my head and continued staring at his face. "It's hard to make a move again. Because one wrong move, I'm in danger. That's what I'm feeling every time and any time." I smiled bitterly. His forehead creased."How about me? I'm willing to take the risk, Arnaez." My eyes widened at its best. "Are you kidding me? You don't mean that! You're probably joking, Yukenzo." I laughed sarcastically.

The room was filled with gasps after my verdict. I dared not look into my mate's face, afraid that I'll see disappointment and probably hate in her eyes. " What tge fuck human? That's my Mate!" Danger growled at me, his voice sending a migraine my way. " That's the only way to save her." I replied to my beast, trying to talk some sense to it.

“Don't you just love how unhinged we can get?” And in the middle of his laughter, I understood exactly how dangerous this house really was. And how trapped I might already be.

Because there's never a suitable answer to satisfy my curiosity. "What..!?" I asked again. I didn't know if I was to cry myself out or to laugh. What did I expect..!? The same way I was at rage, the sane way I tried bringing my voice down. There was a saying that when faced with danger, you don't rush to risk everything the same way you won't rush to give up. I was in the middle already; not knowing if giving up would be the perfect thing to do or to risk it all.

*Rebel POV* --- I laughed, standing in the face of danger. They were fools if they thought they could scare me with their shiny little toys. “Stop where you are! Reveal your identity!” they demanded. If they could not recognize the enemy at first glance, they were a waste of every penny being spent on them. They should have shot me before asking questions. That's how it works. Maybe they had a chance against me, though it's not going to make any difference.
