Emma’s POV It was raining cats and dogs, the clouds thundered with pent up anger, the rain poured, each drop hitting like a pebble to the head. It was harsh, yet I found it enticing. Maybe because the thunder inside me was much stronger than the one outside. Why me?

No, I ruined everything. I drive all the way to Kyland’s apartment. The cold rain starts pouring down across the windshield, the wiper sweeps in a sad rhythm that reminds me of how sad my life lately. The lightning doesn’t go unnoticed despite the tall buildings all over the city—it streaks with anger across the dark skies—a reminder of my angry cantankerous Camila.

I press on, trying my best to follow her, to reach her before any harm comes her way. The guilt and fear swirling inside me are as turbulent as the weather itself. The storm outside mirrors the tempest within me. The realization that I'm the cause of such immense pain is unbearable.
