I Stack Experience Through Reading Books Novels & Stories

“Why do I need that for?” “To learn and gain experience. You will be able to have references on the things you crafted.” “Books don’t give experience.” Toro came back with water on his hand. That’s the only thing they got for now. They haven’t gone to the grocery store yet. Quinn accepted the water and drank a little. “What don’t give experience? These books are written by the most prominent Scholar Sohal!” Quinn was enraged. He just found a person who could make use of these books, yet the person immediately looked down upon it.

I panic, shooting up and bonking foreheads with him. “Ouch.” I wince, rubbing my head once he’s pulled away and given me space to sit up. “Is your head made of iron?” “Arguably.” He responds, sitting right next to me. “What are you doing?” He asks, staring at the sea of books scattered around the mess I’ve accumulated over the past few hours. Shit, he can’t find out that I’m looking for something. “I’m just going through the books for fun. It’s something I do when I see books, you know. I go book-crazy — weird, isn’t it?” I babble the first random excuse that makes its way into my head.

She switched the lights on as she skippered through the library once again. She’s been in that library for almost a week now. Each time, the books are added up with more and more. She wanted to just throw the white flag and end her suffering. This was not leading to anything useful for her at all. What good does reading books give you? And how is it even helpful to someone who’s studying to become a jinni? Do jinni’s teach subjects? “No, but it keeps them grounded, helps them be smart about all the thing that they do.”

I stepped in and immediately felt like I was home. “I knew you would love this place.” Ivy smiled. “It’s beautiful.” I love reading, books gave me a much needed escape from my reality. “How old are these?” “Very old. I have no idea.” “Good.” I’ve always loved the scent of old books. I run my fingers along a row of nameless old books stacked together. “What are these?” “History books.” “Of Blackridge?” I pull one out of the stack and open it. I burst into a fit of coughs as the smell of dust and old leather infiltrates my senses.

The problems that arose were a test of their genuine love. Emily's main goal was to visit her favorite bookstore, buying novels from some of her favorite authors to add to her personal collection. Even though there were now many e-book reading apps available, Emily didn't feel satisfied unless she had the physical copies of the books. Reading e-books was far more flexible, as she could read them anywhere without the hassle of carrying physical books.

Lena wandered through the academic section, picking up books about community planning, social policy, and research methods. Kai carried the growing stack without complaint. “You realize I'm going to have to read these eventually.” “You don't have to.” “I know.” She put another book on top. “You're enjoying this.” “A little.” At the register, Lena looked at the pile. “This is too many.” Kai glanced at it. “You'll use them.” “You don't know that.” “You're the person who just bought three books because you liked the questions in the introduction.” She smiled. “That sounds like me.”

“Well, as they say, experience teaches more than books ever could. If I really want to understand the world, the best way is to travel and see more of it.” Megan nodded without hesitation. She completely agreed—Aurora had a point. She herself had never been the kind for studying, but she understood life experience was its own kind of wisdom. Ever since Megan learned the saying “experience teaches more than books ever could,” she’d made it a point to travel whenever she could instead of staying cooped up at home. When she wasn’t busy helping Aurora, she tried finding things of her own to do—it was far better than living that dull routine between the office and her apartment.

I was relief that she was back to herself, and she was smiling again rather than clutching to her stomach in pain. At one point, she laughed out loud. I furrowed my brows, wondering if books could really be that interesting or if she was just exaggerating. I had never read a book before, except for those related to the DeLuca history. The entire collection of books here was purely for show because the library concealed the exit out of this house. It became more stocked with books after I asked Ivan to get Lisa the genres she enjoys. While I have no clue about books, Ivan had a bit of knowledge in that area. I had only been taught about the mafia world during my training, so I never had the c

It is my favorite out of all that I have read. When I read that book, I am reminded that the mind moves. One must not only put stock in material things because once they are gone, they are left with only loss and decline. If they learn to put stock in the experiences with family and friends, then one will only know enlightenment. I chose it as a way to show Io that I am more than just the station I hold because of my father's gain. To show her that I hold more stock in such things as us. I hope she gets the message.

Maybe I could even find something in the book about what I was experiencing now. Out of the hundreds of books Hunter and I have accumulated through the years, there were still a lot of them that I haven’t looked at much. When getting a new book, I more or less just skimmed through it to see if it was worth adding to the small library I had in my office.
